First Colony: Our Spanish OriginsOct. 17, 2015 - April 17, 2016 | Long before Jamestown,Spaniards, free and enslaved Africans and Native Americanscrafted our country’s first enduring European settlement —St. Augustine, Florida, in 1565. Discover the first colony through archaeology, history and the stories of people who lived there in this hands-on, interactive bilingual exhibition. These first colonial immigrants created America’s original “melting pot” — a colorful, multicultural society that was new then, but might seem familiar today.
Wicked Plants: The Exhibit May 14, 2016 - Jan. 15, 2017 | Step into a realm where plants hold the power. Poisonous, carnivorous or just plain nasty, experience some of the world’s most diabolical botanicals – without the risk of intoxication, addiction, dismemberment or other danger. Featuring more than 100 plants and thrilling two- and three-dimensional interactives, this eerie environment educates and entertains audiences with information about some of Mother Nature’s most appalling creations.

Florida Fossils: Evolution of Life & LandDrawing upon the Florida Museum’s internationally acclaimed fossil collections, this award-winning exhibit describes the last 65 million years of Florida’s history. Walk through time beginning with the Eocene, when Florida was underwater, to the Pleistocene, when the first humans arrived 14,000 years ago.
Northwest Florida: Waterways and WildlifeFollow water as it flows through the unique environments of northwest Florida, the most biodiverse region of the state. Explore a hardwood hammock featuring a life-size limestone cave, a seepage bog with carnivorous plants, a Native American trading scene and more.
South Florida People & EnvironmentsThis exhibit celebrates the story of native people in South Florida and the environments that supported them.
