Genre signifiers

The genre signifiers in this film are very mystery and therefore it creates a lot of suspense. For example when the little girl get lost in a plane and when her mum finds her teddy left on the seat. The scene creates a lot of tension and enigma codes to the audience by leaving them questioning to them self, such as

The dialogue in the beginning was calm and quiet but then the dialogue created tension such as people shouting and screaming.

The body language of the people seemed very frighten and scared at the end of the trailer. This was built up peacefully and slowly at the beginning.The action at the beginning referring to figure 2 was very normal and usual. Such as their were people sitting down silently and they were very they were calm.

But referring to figure 5 at the end there were people running high-speed and they were looking and searching in unusual places. This created tension such as she starts to run like a mad person and she beings to shout and scream at the captain. This made the people on the plan frighten and scared, this also seemed like she was talking over control in the big plane.

Settings

The setting was placed in a big mysterious airplane which some people might find it quite claustrophobic.

However referring to figure 1 and 2 it was set in the night so the lighting was quite dim and gloomy.

The weather added suspense such as it was raining and the clouds were swirling around and the sky was dark navy blue. Inside the airplane had loads of little cupboard and it had small places and lots of different coloured wires such as blue, red and yellow.

Narrative

This film is a claustrophobic mystery film, so in this film there’s a mother who has a very young daughter who is a 6 year old has you can see in figure 3.

However the little girl father has past way so referring to figure 4 they are heading to America from Berlin on a massive double Decker plane with their dad coffin in it.

However at the beginning of the trailer it starts off with a clam quite atmosphere, then after when the mother is awake n after 3 hours later in the plan she finds out that her daughter has disappeared next to her. Therefore she starts to search for her and she ask all ladies has you can in figure 5. This creates a lot of tension and excitement in trailer.

Sound and music

The sounds in this thriller film at the beginning was clam and peaceful has you can in figure 7. Therefore it had relaxing music such as the piano playing very calmly at the start of the trailer.

However the trailer had sound and music that got intense and very curious and sounded very mystery, they were also non dietetic sounds.

Also in figure 6 the sound was getting faster and very serious this was when the mother was searching for her daughter. So the sound grabs audience tension and it makes audience question them self what is going to happen? This makes it very terrifying.

Editing

The editing in the trailer had shots of sense that were very sharp of the film which were very tension grabbing. Also there were lots of quick flashes of mysterious parts of the trailer has you can see in figures 8, 9.

his made it very curious and interesting to find what is going to happen next. Also the trailer had mysterious lights flashing in the trailer, and there were colours that were dark such as navy blue and black this made the colours in the trailer looked as if something was concealed.
