NFC Instructors who conduct the FI Course are highly experienced Flight Instructors who have amassed thousands of hours flying experience with airlines and within the Flight Training industry. This wealth of experience and knowledge is passed on to Student Flight Instructors to ensure they reach the highest standards and are adequately prepared to teach Student Pilots. The Flight Instructor course provides the Student Instructor with the skills necessary to effectively teach the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for the Private Pilots’ Licence. Applicants for the FI Course must pass a pre-entry Flight Assessment and:

Additional charges will be made by the IAA Examiner conducting the FI skills test.

Note that due to ATC, weather and other factors out side of NFC control, there can occasionally be delays to start times of flight lessons. NFC operate a student cancellation policy.

Various Airport charges, landing fees & touch & go fees will apply.

The course commences with the Teaching & Learning Module and initial theoretical knowledge training, completed over a full time two week period. Once completed, a mixture of flight training and further theoretical knowledge training commences, which can be done as a continuous course of instruction, or on a part time basis, to suit individual student needs.

To register for the FI Course, students are required to pay €1,400, this is the cost of the Learning & Teaching Module, Ground School and academic material. All flight training and briefings are paid for when completed i.e. you pay for each flight training & briefing session after you receive it.
