    FIDIC Contracts Intensive Training CoursesFIDIC Contracts Intensive Training Courses take participants over a periodof two and one-half days in an organised and structured way through thecontents of one of the modules of the FIDIC Contracts Training Manual.Participation is limited to some 35 with one, and sometimes two, trainersproviding detailed explanation, courses notes and cases studies and leadingin-depth discussions, almost at an individual level.

    FIDIC Contracts Intensive Training Courses are to be distinguished fromother FIDIC-organised or co-organised training events which also cover thethe ve FIDIC Contracts Manual modules. These other events are courseswhere 50 to 70 participants work through a structured training programme,and workshops that involve less structured presentations with discussionand analysis, in moderated working groups, of key issues.

    FIDIC Contracts Intensive Training Courses are provided by consultingengineers and other construction professionals with extensive internationalexperience. They aim to explain and illustrate the use and management of all aspects of the FIDIC Client/Consultant Model Services Agreement andrelated agreements, the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction andthe FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build.

    FIDIC Contracts Intensive Training Courses help participants have confidencein working with FIDIC documents, whether representing employers,consultants or contractors. The FIDIC Short Form of Contract and theFIDIC Conditions of Contract for EPC/Turnkey Contracts are also covered.

    FIDIC Services Agreements and Works ContractsFIDIC professional services agreements and conditions of contract arebeing increasingly used by the international construction industrythroughout the world. In Europe, they are used by the EuropeanCommission for many projects throughout central and eastern Europe. TheMultilateral Development Banks (MDB), including the World Bank, the

    Interamerican Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank and theAfrican Development, have adopted the FIDIC MDB Harmonised Editionof the Conditions of Contract for Construction.

    TrainersThe course tutors are provided by specialistinternational training suppliers that areaccredited by FIDIC.

    - FIDIC Client/Consultant Model ServicesAgreement and related agreements and/orFIDIC Construction, Design-Build andEPC/Turnkey Contract /s(depending on theModule)

    - Guides to the relevant agreements andcontracts

    - Course overheads- Work exercises, cas studies and mock DABs

    Who Should AttendThe courses provide the necessary knowledge for

    professionals from ministries and agencies,private sector employers, consultants andconsulting engineers, contractors, quantitysurveyors, architects, legal advisers and allinvolved with the implementation andmanagement of services agreements and workscontracts. They are particularly important forthose involved in preparing or managinginfrastructure projects nanced under fundsprovided by development agencies and theEuropean Union cohesion and structural funds.

    Registration FeeThe registration fee for each course of QatarRiyal8,000 (Euro 1 ,540) includes lunches,refreshments and course materials. There is areduction of Qatar Riyal 1,000 (Euro 192) formore than one participant from an organisation.
