nature. –Human features are made by people.

• People and their surroundings interact, or affect each other. People’s activities may change the environment. The environment may affect people. Sometimes people must change how they live to fit into their surroundings.

• North Carolina has three major regions:– Mountain, Piedmont, and Coastal Plain Regions– The Coastal Plain Regions is split into two areas:

• the Inner Coastal Plains • the Outer Costal Plains (the Outer Banks)
