It takes a lot of brainpower to make things really simple. That, in

a sentence, is the essence of SmartDrive™. Traditional washing

machines are made up of many moving parts. Their complexity

also means there’s a lot that can go wrong with them. Fisher

& Paykel SmartDrive™ machines are made of just three main parts:

a small computer, a flexible agitator and a simple direct-drive

motor. This means these washing machines can sense each load,

use just enough water and be ultimately more reliable as they

run with less moving parts.

CleanSmart™ 10kg

Fisher & Paykel’s high efficiency CleanSmart™ 10kg Washing Machine will give you a highly effective wash using only half the water of a traditional top-loading washer. Designed with a low profile agitator giving you the water saving benefits of a front loader with the ergonomic benefits of a top loader. With its 10kg capacity, it will wash all your family’s washing in fewer loads. 1 SmartDrive™ Technology

SmartDrive™ technology uses a direct drive motor, controlled by a microprocessor, to make an efficient washer. It can accelerate to a maximum spin speed of 1100 rpm and a 386 g-force, removing more water and reducing drying times.

2 SmartTouch™ Control Dial

The SmartTouch™ control dial accesses the SmartDrive™ technology through the 12 pre-programmed cycles: Towels, Regular, Heavy, Handwash, Sheets, Easy iron, Bulky, Allergy, Quick, Bowl clean, Rinse and Spin, along with options of Soak, Eco, Softener, Dual wash and Stain treatment. The self-cleaning lint removal system hygienically disposes of lint automatically.

3 Strong, Safe Lid

With 6mm of toughened glass that won’t mark, it is set in a 3mm ABS moulded base for extra strength. Opening and closing is counter-balanced for better ergonomics and ease of use.

4 Efficient Performance

With its 4 star water rating (WELS), delivers the water-saving benefits of a front loader with the ergonomic benefits of a top loader.

4 Soft-close Steel Lid

The durable soft-close steel lid is made from powder coated steel that won’t chip and is resistant to chemical corrosion. Opening and closing is counter- balanced to deliver better ergonomics and ease of use. The top-loading format reduces excessive bending or crouching.

SmartDrive™ 10kg Top Loader Features

1 10kg Capacity

You’ll need fewer loads with a large 10kg washer and its 4 star energy rating will save you money and power. Infinite water level sensing makes it efficient whether you’re washing a small load of bulky items such as bedspreads and duvets.


The SmartTouch™ control panel lets you select from the six or 12 pre-programmed wash cycles. The washer’s SmartDrive™ technology allows the machine to sense each load and use less water.

3 1100 rpm Spin Speed

With a maximum spin speed of 1100 rpm spin and a substantial 386 g-force, these washers remove more water from your clothes so they take less time to dry.

Eco-Active™ wash saves energy, achieving a 4 star energy rating without compromising performance. Its unique pumping technology re-circulates water and detergent through the clothes in a cascade-like pattern. This rapidly targets stains and dirt and is proven to be more effective at killing bacteria.

5 Soft-close Lids

The soft-close lids make opening and closing gentle and easy, allowing ergonomic and ease of use. The soft-close glass lid in the 10kg CleanSmart™ and FabricSmart™ is extremely strong with 6mm of toughened glass set in a 3mm ABS moulded base. It won’t mark and is our most chemically resistant lid. The WashSmart™ 10kg has a soft-close powder coated steel lid that won’t chip and is resistant to chemical attack.

6 Robust Construction

We know washing machines work hard and can really take a battering so we chose the best materials including quality controls; toughened glass and powder-coated steel lids; high quality stainless steel dials; and high grade wrapper steel.

7 Quiet Operation

Designed for quiet operation with pressed forms on the cabinet, polypropylene insulating base and sound deadening pads. The result is <50dBA sound power during the wash and 64dBA when spinning at 1100 rpm. With the SmartDrive 10kg series you can wash anytime without disturbing those around you.

with vector control and a direct drive motor, the need for a belt

and pulley is removed and the motor constantly provides feedback

to the computer controlling the tumble and spin action. With

20 years of experience using this technology in top loaders, the

first time a front loader has been designed to meet the specific

FabricSmart™ 8.0kg & 8.5kg

The FabricSmart™ Front Loader is our ultimate washing machine for fabric care with options for quick washes. With a generous 8.0kg or 8.5kg capacity and outstanding water and energy efficiency this premium washer is fully featured with six cycles offering an added Time Saver option for fast washes. With all the clothes care benefits of a front loader, the FabricSmart™ washer has special Sports and Woolmark- approved Wool wash programs and SmartDrive™ technology for a quicker, quieter wash. 1 Time Saver Wash Cycles

FabricSmart™ washers have Vortex Wash to speed up the cleaning process. Nine out of 13 cycles take an hour or less when washing at 30°C. The Time Saver Option reduces this further on selected cycles. The SuperQuick 15 cycle washes a small lightly soiled load in just a quarter of an hour.

2 Energy and Water Efficiency

FabricSmart™ washers deliver a 5 star water rating and a 4 star energy rating, making them one of the most efficient front loaders on the market.

3 Interior Light

The low energy LED interior light makes finding that last sock a lot easier.

4 Door and Gasket Flushing

Keeping the inside clean is essential in preventing unpleasant smells building up. A self- cleaning action flushes the washer door, gasket and sump area. The door gasket and detergent dispenser are made with a patented antibacterial material that removes 99.8% of bacteria.

5 Wool and Sports Cycles

The WashSmart™ has all the clothes care benefits of a front loader, combined with SmartDrive™ technology for a quicker, quieter wash. It is designed to match Fisher & Paykel vented or condensing dryers.

1 Quick Vortex Wash Cycles

Fisher & Paykel have developed the Vortex Wash, which speeds up the cleaning process, meaning 9 out of the 13 cycles take an hour or less to complete when washing at 30°C. When you are in a rush the SuperQuick 15 cycle in the WashSmart™ washes a small lightly soiled load in just a quarter of an hour.

2 Easy Control

The ‘Add a Garment’ option allows you to quickly add or remove a garment mid cycle. A ‘Wrinkle Free’ option ensures your wet clothes don’t sit around too long at the completion of the cycle and a choice of three soil levels gives you more control over your wash.

The QuickSmart™ Front Loader offers one touch control with nine programmed cycles. It is designed for you to select and walk away leaving this SmartDrive™ front loader to get on with the job on its own — taking time out of washing so you can spend more time living.

It combines smart electronics and a direct drive motor that connects directly to the washing drum. The motor constantly provides feedback to a computer controlling the tumble and spin action. This two- way communication means SmartDrive™ washers sense and respond to each load in an intelligent way delivering better clothes care.

2 Quick Vortex Wash Cycles

Fisher & Paykel have developed the Vortex wash which speeds up the cleaning process so most cycles take less than an hour to complete. This is like an explosion in the midst of the tumble action which thrusts the sudsy water from the bottom of the drum into and through the clothes. By getting the cleaning agents and heat into the fibres of the clothes quicker the clothes get clean quicker.

3 Interior Light

It’s dark inside front loaders and the low energy, LED interior light* makes finding that last sock a lot easier. The light comes on when you power the machine up, automatically turns off two minutes after the cycle has started and turns on again for five minutes at the end of the cycle.

4 Soak

The soak option*, which is not available in many front loaders, includes a one- hour soak and tumble sequence to help lift unwanted stains from clothes.

6 Hot and Cold Fill

Unlike many others, our SmartDrive™ front loaders let you choose whether your water is heated in the washing machine or from your hot water cylinder. Condensing Heat Pump Dryer 8kg

This extra large capacity dryer uses heat pump technology to dry clothes at an extremely impressive 6 star energy rating to save power. The heat pump technology means clothes are dried at lower temperatures for ultimate clothes care. The condensing technology means no venting is required making this an ideal product for installations where venting is difficult.

The condensing technology means that water is collected instead of vented out meaning less allergens and moisture going into the home.

2 Designed to Match

Both our Condensing and Condensing Heat Pump Dryer have a generous 8kg capacity for large loads. This large drum capacity reduces drying times and creasing. Our vented dryers have a 6kg capacity, sufficient for regular loads.


All our dryers have simple installation features. For wall mounting of vented dryers we include a mounting kit and an easily inverted fascia that can be simply unscrewed, reversed and screwed back in place. undertakes to repairer, at its option replace

the warranted part which is found to be

defective within the relevant period from the

expiry of the two year warranty without cost

to the owner other than the owner will pay

for labour (including any call out or service

fees) and freight (if any) for replacing the

must be provided by an authorised Fisher

other than in accordance with the products
