fischer Injection Mortar FIS EM

A Preparing the cartridge1. Remove the cap from the cartridge.2. Attach the static mixer and tighten it firmly/lock it in place. The spiral mixer in the static mixer must be clearly visible; never use without a static mixer !3. Insert the cartridge into the application gun.4. Press approx 10 cm of material out until the resin mortar comes out evenly grey in colour. Mortar which is not grey in colour will not cure and must be disposed of.

After finishing work, leave the static mixer attached to the cartridge.

Important: If the processing time is exceeded, use a new static mixer and if neces sary remove encrusted material in the cartridge mouth.

B Installation

ETA option 1 in concrete: Also suited for use without special approval: lightweight concrete, solid sand­lime brick, solid pumice, natural stone and solid building materials.

1. Drill the hole. The diameter of the hole and the drilling depth can be found in Table III.2. Starting at the bottom of the hole, use oil-free pressurised air (min. 6 bar) to blow the hole clear (two times).3. Brush two times (for corresponding brushes, see Table I).

4. Starting at the bottom of the hole, use oil-free pressurised air (min. 6 bar) to blow the hole clear again. Poor cleaning = reduced bearing capacity !5. Fill the drill hole with injection mortar starting at the bottom, making sure that it does not contain any air bubbles

(approx. ⅔ of the drill hole). For push-through installation, inject enough mortar that the through hole in the component to be attached is also filled with mortar.

5a. For deep holes (ho ≥ 150 mm), use a extension tube. When installing overhead, use large drill diameters (do ≥ 40 mm) and/or deep drill holes (ho ≥ 150 mm) with the suitable injection aid.

6. Press in the anchoring element, turning it lightly until it reaches the setting depth marking (attach the setting depth marking, if necessary). Once the anchoring element has set, excess mortar must come out of the opening of the drill hole. If no mortar appears at the surface of the hole, the anchoring element must be removed immediately and FIS EM injection mortar must be injected again.

6a. When installing overhead, clamp the anchoring element using clamping wedges.7. Make sure to wait the specified curing time (Table II) before installing the component and applying the mounting

torque.
