SANCTUARY CELEBRATION - In the months ahead

leading up to the one hundredth anniversary of our present sanctu-

ary, the Weekly Word will be sharing a series of events which led to

the present-day building of worship. The Building Committee, under the contagion of Reverend Robert P. Shuler, inspected church buildings and gathered the most advanced ideas in church planning. After this tour of churches, Committee Chairperson A. F. Bentley presented a plan of a church being built in a northern city. The Committee accepted the plan and delivered it to Sanguinet & Staats, architects in Fort Worth, to be worked out to fit our building site over the ruins of the burned sanctuary.
