Presbyterian Women May Project

The Buy A Block/Build A House program al-lows more people to participate directly in the Mexico Mission. Everyone is encouraged to buy blocks at $10 each. You can buy as many as you wish. In addition, we want everyone to fill out index cards with prayers and favor-

ite Scriptures for the families we build the houses for. As the team builds the walls of the houses, we will place the cards in the blocks.

Find donation envelopes in the pew racks and on tables around the church, where you will also find the prayer cards.

A Really Happy EasterThese children particiipated in the Children’s Ministry mission project, which provided a very happy Easter for the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, delivering 36 Easter baskets to hospitalized children.

What is your congregation’s particular call in this time and place? Is it to revitalize the faith of your own members? Is it to reach

out to people unlike you? Is it to cooperate with nearby churches to do what can’t be done alone? Or is your church so small it’s time to ask if the membership might be better served elsewhere? The seminar this Saturday, April 29, will explain how to do a com-prehensive Mission Study for your church, how to tailor it to different-sized churches, and will present information on various programs for revitalization. The leader will be Dr. Duane Hix, who has pastored five churches and is currently the interim pastor at Laurinburg Pres-byterian. Please call De Scott at 910-862-8300 ext. 1, to reserve your place. There is no charge to participate. This event will be held at the Pres-bytery of Coastal Carolina offices in Elizabethtown (Bladen County, down NC 87) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break for lunch on your own.
