FINNISH INTERLOCKING REQUIREMENTS 2010 - FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS v1.4 12.3.2014

Finnish Transport Agency Page 11 of 89

Requirement Finland - Priority FIR-FR044-DK A route is considered as: FIR-FR045-DK requested if a request for a route is received (a requested route is either accepted or rejected)

FIR-FR046-DK initiated if the route request was accepted, until the route becomes locked

FIR-FR047-DK locked if all the route elements required to be locked are locked

FIR-FR048-DK An individual route element is considered as:

FIR-FR049-DK requested if the route request requires the use of that element

FIR-FR050-DK locked if the route requires the element to be locked and the element is locked

FIR-FR051-DK released if the element is released from its route

FIR-FR052-DK 2.1.2 Route Setting

FIR-FR053-DK Different route requests with separate conditions may be combined when setting a single route. For example, a shunting route to non-electrified track may be requested by the use of a combined request 'Set shunting route to non-electrified track'.

FIR-FR054-Com 2.2 Approach Zone

FIR-FR055-DK The approach zone is used to detect a vehicle on a valid approach in rear of the route entry signal. It provides the conditions if a time delay is required for releasing a route after a cancellation request.

FIR-FR056-DK The following diagram displays the possible approaches to a route.
