PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (PTA) SY 2018-2019

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Maintaining a functional food production area within the school has been a perennial

concern for the school administrators. And so, under the leadership of Mrs. Rowena Ayungon,

PTA President for SY 2018-2019, parents were called on to get involved in this feat. Among the

strategies employed by the association was to create a core group that took charge of the

actual plot preparation, planting and cultivation of the vegetables. Most seeds and seedlings

were donated by the parents themselves, a few packs of seeds were purchased using PTA funds

and the rest were brought by school children whose parents were working and could not

personally work on the “Gulayan sa Paaralan”.

The months of October, November and December 2018 saw yields from the school

vegetable gardens being utilized for the School-Based Feeding Program. Recorded also were

vegetables harvested and purchased by teachers themselves. Proceeds were used to fund the

purchase of additional seeds and poly bags.

Another accomplished plan for the PTA was the successful celebration of 2018

Teachers’ Day last October 5, 2018. The association tapped Baranggay Officials headed by Brgy

Capt. Rommel Delos Reyes and the Supreme Pupil Government Officers to help out in the

program presentations, games and gift giving activities. It was a memorable event and teachers

felt loved and appreciated.

Lastly, the beautification of the wall in the food production area was another plan

put into completion through the efforts of the PTA. The seemingly gloominess of the wall

became alive with painting that do not only please the eyes but also arouse the heart and mind.

All these accomplishments would not have been possible without the cooperation

and generosity of the parents, the support of the baranggay officials and the guidance and

technical assistance of Ayungon Elementary School teachers and administrators. We, the

elected officers of the Parents-Teachers Association SY 2018-2019 accepted the call and faced

the challenge of coming together for the betterment of our beloved school, present this report

of accomplishment.

PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (PTA) SY 2019-2020

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Improvement and upkeep of school facilities had been a resolute desire of the Parents-

Teachers Association, in the hope of making the school, a better and more conducive place for

the children to learn. As such, repairs of covered court and enhancement of the plant boxes

fronting the school’s main building were taken priority of the association. This year’s elected

officers under the leadership of Mr. Virgilio Valencia joined the teachers in raising funds for

these endeavours through income generating projects and activities like the King and Queen

Nutrition 2020 and the Music and Dance Festival 2020. Proceeds from these activities along

with donations from other stakeholders were utilized in concrete paving of the floor of the

covered court. This is hoped to make the place more suitable to cater bigger audiences in

conduct of school programs and activities.

In addition, the plant boxes fronting the main building were also added. These

installations will allow teachers and children to plan and create mini gardens that will be of

great aesthetic value to the school façade. This work is currently on progress, already nearing

its completion.

Another PTA initiative is the curing or treatment of the soil to make the food production

area more fertile and suitable for vegetable production. This task allowed collaboration among

the officers and members of the association, the teachers and school administrators and

external partners/stakeholders who willingly shared their support and expertise in the field of

agriculture. Letters and correspondence were delivered to identified offices and new contacts

were established as well. To date, the school enjoys the advantage of having a great source of

organic fertilizers to aid the school budding “Gulay sa Paaralan”. It is the hope of this

association that the food production area flourishes and gets sustained as it will greatly help

the school-based feeding program.

All these accomplishments would not have been possible without the cooperation and

generosity of the parents, the support of the baranggay officials and the guidance and technical

assistance of Ayungon Elementary School teachers and administrators. We, the elected officers

of the Parents-Teachers Association SY 2019-2020 accepted the call and faced the challenge of

coming together for the betterment of our beloved school, present this report of

accomplishment.
