    Institute of Learning (AIL).

    The organization was established to provide teachertraining to Afghan women, to support education for

    boys and girls, and to provide health education towomen and children

    Under Sakenas leadership, AIL has became a wellestablished organization which works at the grassrootslevel and empowers women and communities to find

    ways to bring education and health services to ruraland poor urban girls, women and other poor anddisenfranchised Afghans.

    Despite the opposition from taliban , Sakena showed

    great determination and lead the organization fromthe front which supported 80 underground homeschools for 3000 girls in Afghanistan after the Talibanclosed girls schools in the 1990s.
