Mission StatementMission Statement

We share in the mission of the Universal Church which is “ to be called and empowered to promote and proclaim the reign of God. We exist for the mission of Christ, the proclamation of the Good News. “ Our task is to bring all people into full union with Christ.” ( Lumen Gentium )

Rooted in the Universal mission of the Church, this is our Diocesan Vision:

WE, THE CHURCH OF SAN BERNARDINO, ARE A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS IN JESUS THE CHRIST, CALLED TO IMPACT FAMILY, NEIGHBORHOOD, AND SOCIETY WITH THE GOSPEL SO THAT PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE FILLED WITH HOPE.

-the church will journey with them, affirming, supporting and challenging them, provide them with appropriate catechesis, opportunities for service, mentoring, vibrant youth liturgies and retreat experiences.

- Our young men and women will accept, understand and affirm the multicultural society in which they live.

All in the church of San Bernardino will be evangelizers and missionaries, to where they live and work.

Persons of cultures and ethnic groups will welcome, nurture, challenge and be challenged

WE WILL BE A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS THAT REMEMBERS, AFFIRMS AND CELEBRATES THAT WE ARE A PENTECOST CHURCH OF MANY LANGUAGES, FORMED FROM DIFFERENT CULTURES, ETHNIC GROUPS AND EXPERIENCES OF CHURCH. WE WILL NOT FORGET HOW IMMIGRANT POPULATIONS ENRICH THE DIOCESE WITH
