We have appointed one of our long-serving developers, Mike Garcia to man-
age all FIG IT project development as FIG IT Director on a full-time basis. Mike
is based in the Philippines and joined our FIG Conference in Bangkok a few
years back.
Mike is an accomplished developer and has huge experience in delivering
highly complex website/database projects at government and corporate level.
As our FIG IT requirements become ever more sophisticated, Mike will oversee
development of our FIG ‘Platform’ and will be working with you all to ‘join you
all together’ as a cohesive working group.
Mike will be available through our Interforwarder App in the very near future…
Although Mike cannot attend our meeting he will be making a short video
presentation and may ‘pop-in’ by Interforwarder for a quick video-chat…

During our 3 hour presentation we plan to introduce our latest resource, our In-
terforwarder ‘App’ which will help all FIG Partners to stay in touch with each
other - with their existing workforce and project groups and with a whole new
circle of friends and working colleagues.
We will discuss our current workload and plans for the future and as a ‘central
point of discussion’, we will present our plans to ‘connect’ (certain) FIG Partners
to form a truly ‘multi-national’ operation.
We plan to build a FIG Platform able to ‘connect’ your existing systems allowing
significant visibility of our supply chain and will enable many useful services such
as ‘tracking’, billing and accounting, warehouse operations etc. Perhaps the
most ambitious element of our plan is to allow direct access to your (selected)
client base and ultimately to provide a full ERP system with inventory control
through the whole supply chain and with the capability to connect to your cli-
ent’s existing ERP systems.
We will review developments on this topic presented by some of our FIG Part-
ners and decide between us which features you would like included in our FIG
Platform.

(40min Sessions) 09:20 - 12:00 & 13:20 - 16:00
Lobby Café - Dress: Smart Casual
In a change to our normal programme and by pop-
ular demand, we are offering ‘extended sessions’
for our second period of ‘one-on-one meetings’
with each meeting lasting for 40 minutes. These
sessions are intended for ‘in-depth’ discussions on
pre-determined topics. The Lobby Café offers a re-
laxed venue and lunch is served from 12:00-13:20.

A relaxing cruise along the ancient waterways of
Dubai with supper and beverages & a little light
music. Enjoy the night air with your FIG family
SMOKING POLICY:
There is a dedicated smoking area on the ground
floor of our hotel. Smoking is also permitted in
the bar ‘Up on the Tenth’.
During our Dhow Cruise - smoking is permitted
on the upper deck.

Our (very clever) FIG Meeting Scheduler will be released in just a few hours.
For those of you using this resource for the first time - don’t worry - you can
build your complete Meeting Schedule in just a few clicks and print your sched-
ule ready for our FIG Conference.
We have changed our system slightly this year… rather than have two days of
‘intensive’ meetings, we have set-up our first ‘One-on-One session with just
FIVE 20 minute sessions (3 March PM)- these sessions are intended for ‘getting
to know you’ meetings and are ideal for ‘first-time’ attendees to meet our FIG
family.
Our second session of One-on-One Meetings are for a whole day - EIGHT 40
minute sessions for more detailed meetings (4 March).
Additionally there are numerous opportunities to meet delegates during ‘social
events such as our ‘desert excursion’, Evening Reception and Gala Dinner. It is
sometimes more productive to get to know your colleagues in a more ‘relaxed’
environment.

The Interforwarder ‘app’ will shortly be available for download from
your app store - either IOS or android.
We will be discussing the app during our FIG Conference and making
sure all delegates are ‘Interforwarder Ready’.
This amazing tool will allow you to communicate in ‘real-time’ (on any
android or IOS device) with any registered Interforwarder user - any-
where in the world using messaging (with instant translation) or video
-chat or even video-conferencing.
