Trip Description: Taking students to a PMEA District Concert Festival to participate and prepare a public
concert for the event.
Highlights of the Trip: Rehearsals and performances to prepare the concert.
Missed School: Students are out Friday, January 12, 2018, all day and then rehearse all day Saturday, January 13, 2018, for the evening concert at 7:00 p.m. at Kennard-Dale High School. Departure: Teachers and vans will leave 7:15 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018. Return: Teachers and vans will return around 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. that same Friday. Students will stay overnight at a local hotel. Students will return home with parents after the concert on Saturday. Meals: This is covered in the student fee that is included in our budget for this event.

Location/Destination: National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida
Who will pay the costs? The cheerleaders and parents and fundraising
Transportation Cost:
• Possibly bus to the airport (working on this detail but would be paid by the cheerleaders)
• Airfare (paid by cheerleaders)
• Airport transfer to hotel covered by competition package
Hotel Cost:
• Hotel/competition registration in Florida will be $591.00 per girl (paid by cheerleaders and fundraising)

Trip Description: The competition cheer team placed third at the UCA Regional Championship in Kutztown in
December and earned a bid to the NHSCC in Orlando, Florida. They will compete in the two-day national
championship in the Large Varsity Division.
Highlights of the Trip: Competition against other schools, time at Disney parks
Missed School: 3 days
Departure: Thursday, February 8, 2018, (AM flight, would miss school)
Return: Monday, February 12, 2018, (flight back, will miss school)
Meals: Some provided by competition package, rest covered by the girls and the cheer program.
Board Approval Required
Class: 8 Marine JROTC Unmanned Aerial Vehicle pilots.
Location/Destination: Phoebus High School 100 Ireland Street, Hampton, VA 23663
Who will pay the costs: JROTC activity account will pay registration and cadets will pay for food.
Transportation Cost: District Van which will be driven by an accredited/certified activity volunteer.
Hotel Cost: Day trip no hotel needed
Substitute Required: None.
Trip Description: On Friday, February 2, 2018, 1st Sgt Corwin will be taking 8 cadets to Phoebus High School to
participate in an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle contest. This will allow 8 cadets an opportunity to test their indoor
piloting skills in obstacle course, landing and takeoff and navigation skills. These competitions and practices
will all be conducted indoors which do not fall under FAA regulations.
Highlights of the Trip: See above. Missed School: Friday, February 2, 2018 Departure: 4:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 Return: 10:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 Meals: Cadets will provide. PLEASE NOTE: Trip is being submitted for approval because it is more than 200 miles each way.

Class: JROTC - Ashley Henry, Ana Weinfurter, Hunter Eberly, Zachary Kaufman and Zachary Grove
Location/Destination: JROTC Civilian Marksmanship Competition Center in Anniston, Alabama
Who will pay the costs: JROTC activity account will pay equipment expense, one chaperone, coach and half of the cadets’ travel and lodging costs. Individuals will pay for food.
Transportation Cost: Reliance transportation to BWI and return. Southwest Airlines out to Birmingham, Alabama and back. Rental van in Birmingham.
Hotel Cost: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anniston/Oxford which will be paid by the Marine Corps JROTC Activity account.
Trip Description: We had 5 shooters of the Precision Team qualify for the Marine Corps National. Those shooters are Ashley Henry, Ana Weinfurter, Zachary Grove, Zachary Kaufman, and Hunter Eberly. We plan to leave at 10:30 a.m. by bus to BWI to fly to Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday, February 15, 2018. We will not miss any school unless Thursday, February 15 becomes a snow make-up day. They will be shooting over a 3-day period with a banquet award ceremony on Sunday night. This will be a qualifier for the All Service Nationals in March.

Who will pay the costs? Students will pay registration, lodging and food costs. Dallastown Forensics Booster
Club will supplement.
Transportation Cost: We would require one or two 10 passenger vans and sufficient gas for the trip. We
expect to have approximately 12-18 students attend.
Hotel Cost: Paid by students / Booster club
Chaperones (Indicate number of chaperones and if they have Federal, State and Child Abuse clearances): We will have approximately 3-5 chaperones. Clearances can be provided as needed.
Substitute Required: Yes
Trip Description: Students will compete in a National Circuit level speech and debate contest at Pennsybury
High School. This competition consists of highly ranked competitors nationwide. This tournament would give
our team needed practice as we head into district, state and national championship level competition this
spring, and is a tournament at which students can secure “bids” to attend the Tournament of Champions.
Highlights of the Trip: Students will compete in 1 or 2 events relating to speech or debate. Successful
students will proceed through several rounds in order to determine an overall winner in each category
entered.
Missed School: Friday, February 2, 2018
Departure: 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, from the High School
Return: Approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018, to the High School.
Meals: Will be provided at student expense.

have approximately 15-18 students attend.
Hotel Cost: Paid by students / Booster club
Chaperones (Indicate number of chaperones and if they have Federal, State and
Child Abuse clearances): We will have a minimum of 3 chaperones. Clearances are on file with district.
Substitute Required: Yes

expect to have approximately 12-18 students attend.

Trip Description: Students will compete in a district speech and debate contest. This consists of competitors
from schools in the “Valley Forge” region of the National Speech and Debate Association. Students who place
1st or 2nd in their respective events receive an invitation to the National Championship where they compete for
awards and scholarship opportunities.
Highlights of the Trip: Students will compete in 1 or 2 events relating to speech or debate. Successful
students will proceed through several rounds in order to determine an overall winner in each category
entered. Since this tournament is based upon a school’s overall competitiveness, each school will bring its
strongest competitors in the hopes of receiving a bid to the national tournament.
