    INTRODUCTION

    There is a lot of importance of education in our life. We go on receivingeducation from one or the other from birth to death. We are drawing

    information but starving for knowledge and wisdom. True education teaches

    us not only how to make living but also how to live. Education that builds

    traits of character honesty, compassion is absolutely essential. How can

    knowledge of the way in which children learn and the mean by which school

    achieve these goals be verified, build up and extended--- This is the central

    question for educational research.

    To answer this question we need an intensive investigation of an

    institution that is called case study. The case study research gathers

    pertinent data about the present status, past experience and environmental

    forces that contribute to one another. The analysis of the factor and their

    interrelationship help the researcher to construct comprehensive and

    integrated picture of the unit.

    The process of the study is to prone deeply and to analyze intensively

    the multifarious phenomenon that constitutes the life cycle of the unit with a

    view to establish generalization about the wider population to which that

    unit belongs.

    Now a day, Yamuna Nagar has made rapid progress in the field of

    education both quantitatively and qualitatively. I have selected, Swami

    Vivekananda Lotus Valley Public School, Yamuna Nagar for my case

    study.

    HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTION

    Swami Vivekananda Lotus Valley Public School, Yamuna Nagar was

    established in 2006with the aim of providing the best education to children.

    The school building is located on, Sec-18, HUDA, Jagadhri (Distt. Yamuna

    Nagar)

    LEVEL OF THE SCHOOL

    Swami Vivekananda Lotus Valley Public School, Yamuna Nagar isaffiliated to Central Board of School Education. The classes included are

    from nursery to XII class. It is a senior secondary school.

    Admission

    Admission to the school is open to all boys and girls irrespectively class,

    creed and community. Parents who wish to register their child for admission

    meet fill their registration from in January. Admission to all classes is

    ordinary made in February and March for the academic session starting in

    April.

    Admissions are on the basis of merit

    Student coming from other schools should produce.

    1. Zerox copy of birth certificate.2. Transfer/migration certificate.

    3. Attested copy of progress report of last examination passed.

    4. Two passport size photo. The minimum age for admission for both

    boys and girls is 3+years on Ist April for nursery, 4years for L.K.G. &

    5 years for Std U.K.G.

    5. Admission to class XI-XII starts from March.

    Nature of the school

    This educational institution, Swami Vivekanand Lotus Valley Public School

    Yamuna Nagar is an aided co-educational school as per norms of C.B.S.E.

    INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

    School Building

    Building is to education as a body is to mind.

    The school building is divided in to two parts:-

    (A)Administrative Block

    (B)Academic Block

    (A) ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK:-

    Principals office

    The Principals office is large enough to accommodate a small conference

    and open into the corridor. Privacy is maintained without the area being

    inaccessible or uninviting. It is tastefully decorated and the furniture

    provided is comfortable.

    School office

    The office room of this school is adjacent to the visitors, teachers and to

    student.

    Staff Room

    Staff room is made available to teachers where they meet each other and

    work together or individual. It is provided with tables and chairs. This room

    has cup Boards in the walls and lockers are provided to the teachers where

    they keep their things so that the sound from the room doesnt interfere with

    the work in quiet areas of building.

    (B) ACADEMIC BLOCK AND STRUCTURE:-

    Provision of rooms for different classes: - The magnificent building has

    25 rooms which are spacious and equipped to cater to the needs of teaching-

    learning process.

    Laboratories:-The school has well equipped furnished spacious and well

    ventilated laboratories to aid instruction and stimulate greater interest in

    science courses:-

    (A)Science Lab.

    (B) Computer Lab.

    Library: - Books are childrens best friends and their best companions in

    the process of learning. So, the school has a big library.

    LIBRARY FACILITIES:-

    The school has big library. It has approximately 300 books text book and

    magazines and news paper are available in the school library.

    PLAY GROUND:

    A play ground is also provided for the students. All facilities for the players

    are available in the ground and students develop their co-curriculum

    activities.

    HALL:-

    A big hall is provided to the students for multipurpose work.

    TEACHING AIDS AVAILABLE:-

    In this school teaching aids of audio and audio- visual types are available.

    Audio- aids like tape recorder, radio and audio-visuals aids like TV,

    projectors are available.

    In this school pupil teacher ratio is 29: 1.Total numbers of students

    enrolled are 1250.

    TYPES OF COURSES RUNNING IN THE INSTITUTIONS

    Courses are running in the school as prescribed by the Central Board

    of School Education. All the syllabus and curriculum are followed by the

    school as prescribed by the Central Board of School Education.

    METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING

    In this school teachers use lecture method and sometimes activity

    method for delivering the content. Teachers are used different types of

    teaching aids for providing teaching.

    ACTIVITIES OF THE SCHOOL

    Outdoor and Indoor Games

    For all round development of the child, the school provides elaborate

    arrangements for the indoor and outdoor games and sports. The main aim is

    to develop not only their physical but also their mental health.

    Co-curricular activities

    The school celebrates annual function, and all the national festivals

    every year and students also participate in them.

    Parents teacher meeting

    The school conducts Parents-Teachers meeting twice in a year one

    after September test and other after final exams.

    Prizes & award

    The winners of inter-house sports and culture competitions are

    awarded prizes at the times of prize distribution of the school.

    ACHIVEMENT OF THE SCHOOL

    In annual examinations the students from our school show brilliant

    performance. Many students from this school have occupied glorious

    position in our state. Good students are stars of the school like: 2 students

    are selected for ITI and 2 students have attended NCC prade at Delhi.

    RESULT OF THE INSTITUTION

    The result of this school is very good. In the class like 8 th and 10th

    there is 80% of result where as remaining classes results are 90%.

    The school is running under the dynamic principal Ms. Gujan Bhatia,

    principal of the school. The school is known for its outstanding results in the

    district. But there is lack of well qualified and punctual teachers. There is

    also lack of discipline in the school. More Well trained teachers should be

    appointed in the school.

    CONCLUSION

    Education makes an individual self dependent. The knowledge of self

    can be attained by education only. Education provides the child

    opportunities to face the challenges of life and makes his own identity in the

    society. The Swami Vivekananda Lotus Valley Public School,Yamuna

    Nagarprovides the necessary environment, where the child learns through

    experiments and gets a platform to express his talent.
