TeamWittenberg News Regional Missionaries with FamilyLife (a
ministry of CRU)
In our last update, we mentioned that we are now full-time in
our role as missionaries with FamilyLife. Our official title is
Regional Ministry Advisors/Representatives. Our main role is to
equip folks in Colorado and sur-rounding states with help and
resources to im-pact marriages for Christ in their communities,
churches, workplaces, and beyond. The majority of our hours revolve
around con-versations and relationships.on the phone, in person,
through email, etcWe are thankful we are able to be available for
many couples throughout each week that are in need of direc-tion,
support, or resources. We also help lead and support our local
Week-end to Remember Getaway events. Colorado will host 3-4 WTRs
throughout the year. Our most recent getaway was Valentines weekend
in Colorado Springs at the Broadmoor. Read on the next page for
many more details about that life-changing weekend! We want to
encourage those of you who have attended a WTR event to sign up as
Group Coordinators. We volunteered in this role almost 20 years
ago, after we attended our first WTR in Denver. Our Group
Coordinators in-form couples about upcoming events, keep them
abreast of special deals, help them regis-ter for the weekend,
etc.As a thank you, after you register five other couples, you
receive a FREE WTR registration, for you or someone else!

It helped me breakdown some of the barriers I have put up to be
able to grow as a husband and father. I feel I have the tools to
grow and treat my marriage along Gods plan and not societies plan.

We were honored to serve as on-site Ministry Advisors for the
Weekend to Remember Marriage Get-away in Colorado Springs. It was
held over Velentines weekend at the beautiful and romantic
Broadmoor Ho-tel. We also had time in the prayer room with the
local praying team. What an incredible bunch of individuals
committed to volunteer their time, supporting guests in earnest
prayer throughout the entire weekend. They are also before the
Lord, lifting up Colorado marriages all throughout the year! So
much of our prayer was answered, as we observed the impact the
weekend had on so many couples. We also had the pleasure of
individually talking with so manycouples who are excited to bring
resources to their church or small group, and men and women who
needed individual prayer or guidance. With nearly 1000 in
attendance, we were thrilled to learn, that by self-report, 93
people committed their lives to Christ FOR THE FIRST TIME! Many
COUPLES indicated that they had both made a decision to live with
Jesus as their Savior! We also had 256 say that they had
RE-committed their lives to the Lord. All of these numbers mean
that 350 people left the WTR with a renewed sense of direction in
their lives. God loves marriage and He loves couples to be in
fellowship with HIM! We pray for the people who made these
decisionsthat they will continue to trust in His plan for their
lives. We know that couples lives change dramatically after
experiencing a weekend like this! If you would like to know more

let us know. We are excited to lead a local volunteer team and
would love for you to be a part of it!

Wittenberg Prayer and Praise..
Many of our friends attended the recent WTR getaway in Co
Springs. What a joy
to hear from those we know and love about what an impactful
weekend it was! Please pray for the follow-up from the WTR. Doug
has many, many folks inter-
ested in starting marriage ministry with those around them. Pray
that we will be effective carriers of the Gospel that we have been
entrusted
withas adults, teenagers and children, to those who need to
hear.
