Dear Panther Families: We are already in the third quarter of the school year, there is only one quarter left to go! On February 26-28th our fourth grade students will be taking the FCAT Writing Test. I trust that our students have been working hard in their classrooms in preparation for this exam and are ready to do their best on the test. Our teachers have been working intensely with your children to ensure that he or she reaches academic success. This year the FCAT Reading, Math and Science testing for 3 rd – 5 th graders will take place in April. This is an important time of the school year and we want to encourage and remind our students that they should be reading at least 30 minutes each night. Research shows that students who read at least thirty minutes daily makes a profound impact on their academic achievement verses those students who do not. Parents, your support with this is greatly appreciated. I would like to congratulate our students who will be recognized this month at the second quarter Honor Roll assemblies. I encourage and challenge each and every one of our students to try your very best so that I can see you at the next Honor Roll Assembly receiving an award. If you have any questions or want to get involved please feel free to give me a call at 7543228750. Respectfully yours, Deborah A. Peeples Deborah A.
