Auditions for actors and actresses of any age are scheduled for Saturday, January 13th

beginning at 1:00pm at QUEST, 826 State Street, Schenectady. Applicants should come prepared to perform 32 measures of any Broadway song, and complete a dance audition. An

accompanist will be available. NO ACAPELLA OR CD AUDITIONS will be permitted.

Please keep in mind that at the audition we provide several forms that must be completed prior to the audition. A parent must accompany you to the audition in order to fill out the forms and sign the paperwork. If you are over the age of 18, you do not need an adult to

accompany you.

Tuition Payment (to be collected at the time of audition): For students participating in our production (18 & under) tuition will be $250.00.

For adults participating in our production (above age 18) we ask for a costuming fee of $25.00.

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST & CREW Marissa Van Dyck (Matilda & Others) is so grateful for another show with Master Class Performing Arts. She is a freshman at Colonie Central High School and always looks forward to performing on stage. Previous credits include LUCINDA- INTO THE WOODS (LIGHTS UP PRODUCTIONS) SCARECROW -WIZARD OF OZ (MASTER CLASS PERFORMING ARTS); BUN FOO- THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (LISHA KILL DRAMA CLUB) Marissa has been taking Voice Lessons with Lisa Franklin for 4 years and has recently started Jazz with Orlando School of Dance Marissa wishes the best of luck to her cast. Romans 5:8

James Zilberman (Mr. Beauregarde) is enjoying his introduction to acting. This is his second performance with MCPA. James' main interest is music. He has played the double bass for many years and has been involved with ESYO, and this year is with SUNY Albany Orchestra. He would like to thank Andrew and all the staff at MCPA for learning so many new things.

Claire Zonderman (Sophie & Others) is eight years old and in third grade at Birchwood Elementary. She was in the ensemble in Peter Pan and Wizard of Oz with MCPA, is in her first year of voice training with Lisa Franklin, and is a member of the Mopco Youth Improv Troupe.

Lacey Allen (Mrs. Salt, Grandma Josephina & Grandma Georgina) is 14 years old and is a freshman at Guilderland High School. She has performed in Oklahoma! and Peter Pan at Farnsworth Middle School. She was Jukes the Pirate in Peter Pan, Jr. with Broadway Sings Young Artists Program. Lacey loves to sing and perform. She volunteers working for and with people with Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias. She has really enjoyed working with Andrew, Peter and everyone else here at Master Class Productions. She would like to thank her family for their ongoing support (and rides back and forth to rehearsal!) Hailey Auster (Grandma Georgina & Others) is a seventh grader at Van Antwerp Middle School in Niskayuna. She has performed in several Capital District area musical productions, including 13, The Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde, Peter Pan, Treasure Island, Annie Jr., Moses and the Freedom Fanatics, Noah and the Ark, and (as the lead in) Jonah and the Whale. She plays the bass for the Niskayuna Middle School Orchestra and is an alto with the Middle School Choir. She is also a member of the Niskayuna Modified field hockey team and seventh Grade girls travel basketball squad.

Peter Darling (Willy Wonka & Music Director) is an accomplished pianist, accompanist, composer, and music director. While in the Nation’s Capital, Peter music directed several musicals, headlined for two years at a premiere cabaret restaurant, Stars Bistro, and he was retained to entertain guests at a private engagement for Sargent Shriver and Eunice Kennedy. He was also commissioned to compose and perform an original composition for a dance troupe in Carnegie Hall and music directed a show for the Olympians in Sydney, Australia. His musical talents have brought him to Los Angeles where Mr. Darling music directed numerous cabaret-style shows, as well as musicals in Hollywood. Also in Hollywood, he music directed a benefit for Divas Unite, which included notable performers, Shoshana Bean, Lexi Lawson, Arielle Jacobs, and more. While in LA, he was also commissioned to develop a beginner piano course for an App, currently available in iTunes. Peter is excited to be back in the Capital District where he is collaborating with various artists and theater groups, including Proctors, Capital Repertory Theater, and Broadway Sings.

Rachel Guyer (Grandma Josephine & Others) is 14 and in ninth grade at Guilderland High School. Other than acting, she enjoys dancing and has been dancing since she was three. She also sings with her school choir and is a part of the youth worship team with her local church. She is thrilled to be a part of this production and would like to thank Andrew, Peter, and the rest of the cast and crew for a great experience.

Aidan Halsey (Charlie Bucket) is 12 and is a seventh grader at Loudonville Christian School. He has been active in theater since he was six and loves to sing and act. Recent credits include Evan Goldman in “13 the Musical”, Puglsey in “The Addams Family”, Mufasa in “Lion King Jr.”, Tinman in “Wizard of Oz”, Cogsworth in “Beauty and the Beast”, and Schroeder in Park Playhouse’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. He will also be performing as Hugo in “Tuck Everlasting”, Ralph Herdman in Park Playhouse’s “Best Christmas Pageant Ever”, and Buddy the Elf in “Elf the Musical”. Aidan is excited to share the stage with his mom, dad and oldest sister in today’s production. His hope is to continue to pursue his God given abilities and is thankful for all the love and support he gets from family and friends.

Alexia Halsey (Ms. Teavee) is a graduate of Emerson College with a B.F.A in Writing, Literature & Publishing. Alexia was active in local theater in High School, and has recently made her return to the stage in productions of Avenue Q, A Christmas Carol, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. She is excited to be a part of an all-original musical called Fireside, which will be performed Nov 17-18 at the Troy Arts Center. Alexia would like to thank her wonderful parents, her brother Aidan and sister Adrianna for their never-ending support and encouragement as she continues to pursue the many things in life that brings her joy.

Mark Halsey (Grandpa Joe) started doing theatre as a way of spending time with his kids. He has performed A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), Hairspray (Wilbur), Avenue Q (Brian), Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere) and is ecstatic to be participating in Master Classes production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. Mark is also a worship leader at Immanuel Church in Schodack, a small business owner, and is the head bus driver for the East Greenbush Schools. His greatest joy comes in watching his kids succeed and strive for greatness in all that they do. Thanks to my amazing wife Priscilla for giving me the flexibility to pursue this new passion.

Priscilla Halsey (Mrs. Bucket) is excited for her first time to hit the stage since high school. She has been a behind the scenes parent for years and was “convinced” by Andrew to give being on stage a try. She is thankful for the help and encouragement from her family, and is thrilled to share the stage with her family. Will there be a future show?? I guess we will have to wait and see!

She is 14 and attends Shaker High School. Michaela has been dancing for 10 years and on the Turning Pointe Dance Center competition team for five. Michaela has appeared in the ensemble of Proctor's 2017 Summer Broadway Camp production of "Pippin," as Nikki in "13," Tootles in “Peter Pan” and in the ensemble of “Aladdin.” Michaela thanks everyone who has helped her, but especially Mom, Dad and her dance, voice and theater teachers.

Tabitha Howland (Billie & Others) (Tabby, as she is known by her friends and family) is 13 years old and is in eighth grade at Goff Middle School. Tabby started performing at age six with Staging Youths Future Inc. and has since performed in productions of Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and Annie. She also has worked with Lights Up playing the role of Shenzi in The Lion King and then most recently played one of the Ancestors in The Addams Family. Tabby also enjoys reading, listening to music and dance. Tabby is in select Chorus, Girl Scouts, and she plays the trumpet. This her first production with Master Class Performance. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support and encouragement.

Kelly Jaeger (Producer) is ecstatic to be joining the production team of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka the Musical. Previous theatrical credits include: Sleepy Hollow the Musical, The Wizard of Oz, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Aida the Musical and several others. No, not on stage, but as a stage mom (very similar to Dance Moms, if Andrew was Abby Lee Miller, but not in jail). She would like to thank you for coming to the show and congratulate her beautiful daughter, Zoe Jaeger.

Zoe Jaeger (Violet Beauregarde) is 12 years old and in the 8th grade at Geoff Middle School. She loves to read, dance, sing and especially, perform on stage. She also plays soccer and does volunteer hours at the library. Her most recent stage credits include Ensemble (13 the Musical), Andrea (Once On This Island Jr), and Nala (Disney's The Lion King). Zoe would like to thank her mom for all her hard work helping at the shows and all her support. She could not do this without her and her friends (you know who you are). She would also like to thank her Queenie for all her love and support without her she could not do all these shows! Zoe would like to dedicate this performance to one of her biggest fans who will be watching her from above. Love you Nana.

Caroline Jameson (Violet Beauregarde) is happy to be in this show! Caroline is 13 and an 8th grader at Farnsworth Middle School. Favorite theatre credits include: The Music Man (teen/dancer), School of Rock (Shonelle), Oliver! (orphan/pickpocket), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), and The Little Mermaid (Scuttle). Caroline plays the piano and percussion, loves to tap dance, and enjoys playing golf, basketball, softball, and baking. She would like to thank her mom, dad, big brother Daniel, and the rest of her family for all of their love and support. She also sends thanks to the cast, crew, and production team. Enjoy the show!

Ethan Klein (Mike Teavee, Mr. Bucket & Augustus Gloop) is a ninth grader at Shenendehowa. Theatre credits include: Dean (All Shook Up) at Performing Smarts); Donkey (Shrek), Aladdin (Disney’s Aladdin JR) & James (Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach) at Lights Up Productions; Billy (School of Rock) & Puglsey (The Addams Family) at Consortium Actors); Randy (A Christmas Story) at Capital Repertory Theatre; Lumiere (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) at Shenendehowa; Evan/Archie (13 the Musical), LeFou (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Trevor Graydon (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Gavroche (Les Miserables) at CR Productions; Prince (Disney’s Cinderella Kids), Linus (A Charlie Brown Christmas) & Charlie Bates (Oliver!) at Park Playhouse; Noah Gellman (Caroline or Change) at SLOC; Winthrop Paroo (The Music Man) at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. Lauren McCabe (Veruca Salt) is a 13 year old, Eighth grade student at Bethlehem Middle School. She loves to sing, dance, act and spend time with friends and family. Some her favorite roles were Charlie (Sleepy Hollow the Musical), Wendy in Peter Pan, Cassie in 13 The Musical and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz she has also been in 3 Park playhouse productions Cinderella Jr., Suessical Jr. and Lion King Jr. She would like to thank her mom and Dad for all the work they put in for her like driving her to rehearsals all the time, Andrew for being such an amazing director and the cast for being so amazing and kind!

Michelle McGinty-Miller (Mrs. Gloop & Stage Manager) is the proud stage momma of Chad Miller who is featured in this production as Mike Teavee. Michelle has spent a great deal of time both on the stage and off, in such roles as Pick-A-Little Lady (The Music Man), Miss Cratchit (Gypsy), 9 to 5 the Dolly Parton Musical, the Raisin (A Raisin in the Sun) and many more. She is ecstatic to be working on this fun filled production and wishes the cast and crew broken legs. She would like to extend a special thank you to her director Andrew Higgs, for without him….well he would not be here (and neither would this bio). Chad Miller (Mike Teavee & Mr. Bucket) did not submit a bio, however, Andrew has written a special one for him. Chad began performing at an early age and has continued to grow ever since. Select roles include: Winthrup (The Music Man, TANYS Award), Collin (The Secret Garden), Ensemble (Disney's Beauty and the Beast), Newsboy (Gypsy), Narrator (Into the Woods), Soldier (Aida the Musical), Ichabod Crane (Sleepy Hollow) and last but not least this electrifying performance as Mike Teavee in Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka the Musicall. Emma O’Kane (Veruca Salt) is eleven and in sixth grade in East Greenbush Central School District. Emma has a strong passion for Musical Theater and her favorite recent role includes her performance in the Ensemble for Park Playhouse The Music Man. Emma is in her seventh year of piano and second year flute. Emma is a new voice student with a strong passion for singing. Emma enjoys dancing with CK Dance Company. Emma has composed and conducted for her school band. Emma has performed in the Magic of Christmas with the Music Studio and Albany Symphony Orchestra. She is an avid soccer player, runner, and dog lover. Emma thanks her parents and little sister Riley for their love and support, and Master Class Performing Arts for this wonderful opportunity. Emma is excited for this production, and grateful for the new friends she has met!

Riley O’Kane (Alfie & Others) is eight and in third grade in East Greenbush Central School District. Riley has a strong passion for Musical Theater and her favorite recent role includes her performance as Tinkerbell in Peter Pan Jr. Riley is a fifth year piano student and is a new voice student with a passion for singing. Riley enjoys dancing with CK Dance Company. Riley has performed in the Magic of Christmas with the Music Studio and Albany Symphony Orchestra. Riley loves soccer and training her rescue dogs. Riley thanks her Dad, Mom and Big Sister Emma for their love and support, and Master Class Performing Arts for this wonderful opportunity. Riley is excited for this production, and grateful for the new friends she has met!

Jacob Oliver (Augustus Gloop) is 12 and in the seventh grade at Saint Gregory’s School. He is excited to be part of the Master Class Performing Arts production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. Jacob has been playing piano for 8 years. Recent credits include Sleepy Hollow the Musical with MCPA, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe with C.A.S.T., 13 the Musical, Burt Heally in Annie, and stage manager for A Year with Frog and Toad in his school show. Jacob loves to ski and play basketball. Jacob thanks his mom, dad and brother for their love and support.

Lucia Parker (Danny & Others) is a second grader at Pine Bush Elementary School in Guilderland. Willy Wonka is her first musical performance. In addition to singing, Lucy enjoys tennis, playing and swimming with her Labradoodle Jedi, and competing in Scottish Highland dancing. In April, Lucia took part with her dance class in the annual New York City Tartan Day Parade, where she marched in front of Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center Lucia would like to thank her parents and her big sisters Isabela and Sofia for their love and support!

Andre Valverde (Mr. Salt) is a 16 y.o. from Guilderland HS. He enjoys singing, acting, playing piano, guitar, cello, dancing, and listening to his classic rock vinyl collection. Andre has been in over 20 productions since 2012. Some of his favorite roles include Reinhold (Spring Awakening), Pepe (West Side Story), Beast and Maurice (Beauty and the Beast) and Roger (Rent – SE) and during 2017 his role in the shows Bare, Next to Normal and H2 Succeed. Go Master Class!!!
