she plans to win over minds and hearts with some startling outfits.

1. What inspired you to get into the field of designing?Ans: It was a desire to design to bring about delicacy, harmony and happiness to a women’s life. I have an inspiration of making women look beautiful in simplicity, femininity and strength.
2. Do you have professional training, and do you feel it’s essential for a designer to have a professional education?Ans: Yes I have been working with my sister for more than 6 years. Yes I feel it is essential to have a professional education because fashion design-ing is a highly competitive and exciting industry.
3. What is the over-riding aesthetic in your designing?Ans: Unique cut and silhouettes with minimalistic embellishments.
4. What is your educational and professional back-ground and how do you feel it prepared you for a
career in fashion designing?Ans: I have completed my bachelors from Karachi University and have been professionally working with my sister who is also a designer. Thus the knowledge and sense of business along with the practical exposure of the day to day operations of a fashion design business has prepared me for a career in fashion designing.
5. What drew you to fashion and specifically to starting your own line?Ans: I was really inspired by the beauty of woman strength and style. I felt I had the all the abilty and skills and knowledge and wanted to work for my-self so I pursued a career in fashion and started my own line and named it “Cranberry”.
6. What is the best perk in being a fashion designer?Ans.: Obviously designers love to play their sense

7. What is the most difficult aspect about running your own label?Ans: The most difficult aspect is to manage your team and meet the deadlines.
8. What do you wish people would understand about working in the fashion industry?Ans: I think people should understand that any sincere designer would have their own identity and style to bring about something unique and different from others which highlight their work.
9. What do you wish you had known before entering the fashion industry?Ans: Yes I wish i had known more about the psyche of commercial dealers.
10. Tell us about your process in designing a new collection?Ans: It starts from sketching a design then mer-chandising, embroideries, printing if required and stitching which end up on model shoot.
11. What excites you the most about your new collections?Ans: Obviously the response from the customers.
12. Where do you get your design inspirations from?Ans: We are inspired with nature and our own culture.
13. Apart from designing outfits, what else do you enjoy designing?Ans: Yes we do enjoy designing ladies handbags and shoes.
15. Has being a designer changed the way you buy outfits for yourself?Ans: Absolutely no. We have good and talented designers which I like.
16. What fabric do you enjoy working with the most?Ans: Chiffons and charmeuse.17. What trends do you see being big for 2013?Ans: For this season lace and stripes with pastel shades would be in. Look is going to be classy not
trashy which embraces femininity.
18. What role do you think price points play in the success of a prêt line?Ans: Price points play an important role because customers want good quality at an affordable price.
19. Do you think prêt is defined by a price point or by a sensibility?Ans: It is essential for prêt to have a qualitative and sensible design in a reasonable price.
20. Describe Cranberry?Ans: Cranberry was established in 2011 with a vision of bringing together fashion, lifestyle and experience. Through intuition, visions and the determination of the founders as well as a strong team of workers the company emerged.

Took off on 20th April,2013 at the Expo Centre,Karachi and for three days every aspect of the huge event was vibrant,eye catching,exhilarating and heart warming .
Day one highlights included a show of Zainab Chotani’s heavy bridals in striking color combinations,followed by Saim Ali’s astonishing outifits.To further awe the audience,Mona Imran dazzled the ramp with a classic combination of traditional saris,lehngas and peshwas.
As for the second segment of day one,ensembles by Zaheer Abbas did attract attention and applause and in particular his piece de resistance donned by Humaima Malik was simply outstanding.Also on display were much raved about outfits of Amna Ajmal and to close the even-ing Asifa and Nabeel presented a pulsating collection.Day two saw a change in decor and color was added to the ramp by a wall of images.Segments in the evening opened with Lajwanti’s collection and to follow that was Madiha Noman’s theatrical opening giving the audience ample feast for their eyes.Madiha showcased glittering jewellry.

Later part of the evening belonged to Teena by Hina Butt.The collection consisted of gowns,palazzos,and churidars for women and sherwanis and kurtas for men.After a performance by Fuzon,Indian designers Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor ended the night with a touch of drama by display-ing heavily embelished saris.
Then came the grand finale of Pantene Bridal Couture Week on Sunday 22nd April. much delight and fanfare. Starting off with an impeccable dance performance chore-ographed by Hasan Rizvi of Body Beat ,the superb moves with a flawless touch won admiration from the audience.Sana Abbas was the first one to show with her bridal collection. The pearly white colour palette with its pastel combinations were likeable as were the embellishments appropriately done, looking good with a hint of subtlety to them.Nadia Mistry followed with her bridal collection, which took after her surname. Indeed, the collection was not too inspiring as colors were gaudy indeed. The only saving grace for her eerily-done collection would be Sab’s perfect

Mifrah’s collection, which followed Nadia’s,served to soothe the nerves of an upset audience. Varying golds, pinks, ivories and peaches as a colour palette made up for a wonderful summer wedding. Subtle were the gowns and gave a regal touch.
Deepak Perwani ,a designer of excellence dazzled with his couture collection. Loudly appreciated were the purple heavily sequined sarees with gold borders, combined with some very well done contrasting blouses.
Red banarsis took the breath away and the highlight of his collection, was appearance cricket legend Wasim Akram on the ramp . The resounding applause was natural.
Haute Couturiers included Arsa-lan Iqbal, DnF, Emraan Rajput, Ishtiaq Afzal Khan, Mussarat Bushra, Nadda Salim Brides, Naureen Arbab, Nida Khurram, Obaid Sheikh, Ruby Shakeel, Tabassum Mughal, Umsha, Vasim Asghar and WMR. HSY,the all rounder of fashion eminence was marvellous as he most aptly,enraptured the audience with a mind boggling closing handling of the event.

Bollywood and her performances fetched her the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Fe-male Debut and Stardust Award for Lux Exciting New Face in 2010,for her role in Aladin.Because of her immense talent and ability to translate talent into movie deeds,the awards have become her companion and the most prominent award coming her way was the award for Bollywood’s Most Stylish Actress of 2012 at The Ujala Asianet Awards 2013. And as for her success in films the numbers are on a high and al-ready she has featured in several commercially successful films like Murder 2 (2011), Housefull 2 (2012) and Race 2 (2013).

The early years of Fernandez were spent not in Sri Lanka but in Bahrain,because her Sri Lankan father and Malay-sian mother decided to move there.From Bahrain there was another migration,as she completed school.
This move took her to Australia and she focused on acquiring a degree in Mass Communications.Once the academic exercise was complete,she returned home to Sri Lanka where her ca-reer revolved around model-ling, television reporting and show hosting.
And a very special feature about her abilities is that she can speak Arabic, Spanish, French, English, Urdu, Hindi and Sinhalese.
In 2011, Fernandez appeared in her third film, Mahesh Bhatt’s thriller Murder 2, which went on to become her first box office success, receiving blockbuster status. Fernandez played the role of Priya, a lonely model who is in a con-fused relationship with Arjun Bhagwat, enacted by Emraan Hashmi.
Fernandez grabbed a lot of attention for the boldness and sex ap-peal she displayed in the movie, with her performance receiving decent reviews.
Murder 2 launched Fernandez’s career on the fast lane, and offers started flowing in from big production houses.The offers were too many and Fernandez had to turn down a few,some because of the sex symbol affect and some due to date conflicts.Along the way she also had the honor of being ranked at 7th position in Time’s Top 50 Most Desirable Women of 2011.
In 2012, Fernandez appeared in Housefull 2, which become a ma-jor commercial success, collecting INR186 crore (US$34 million) worldwide, thus receiving a super hit status at the box office. Also, Fernandez received positive reviews for her performance. Gaurav Malani of Times Of India stated, “So Jacqueline Fernandes wins the race with her gorgeous looks...”
Her first release of 2013 was Race 2, for which she received posi-tive to mixed reviews for her performace. Lisa Tsering, of The Hol-lywood Reporter stated, “Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez, a leggy beauty with a talent for action who now counts seven Indian films under her belt, is another plus. Welcome to Bollywood, Miss Fernandez”.With all this success her ranking improved to number 8 in Time’s Top 50 Most Desirable Women of 2012.
As of April 2013, Fernandez is next expected to appear in an item number in Prabhu Deva’s Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya releasing in July and She has also signed two other films, where she will play the first lead female in Sajid Khan’s Hamshakal’s opposite Saif Ali Khan-which is said to go on floors in July or August and along with Vicky Singh’s Roy opposite Ranbir Kapoor which is said to go on floors in October or December.
Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis is the one who had to undergo migration from Ukraine to Los Angeles along with her family in her years of infancy.
The movement took place because the parents did not foresee any future for Mila and her brother and though the parents were well educated,the supression in USSR was too much.In her teens she got enrolled in acting classes as an after-school activity, and during the course of activity,she got noticed by a professional and career path got charted,and she appeared in several television series and commercials, before acquiring her first significant role as a fifteen year old, playing Jackie Burkhart on the television series That ‘70s Show.
Subsequent film roles included Mona Sax in Max Payne, Solara in The Book of Eli, Jamie in Friends with Benefits, and Lori in the comedy Ted. Her performance as Lily in Black Swan gained her worldwide accolades, including receiving the Premio Marcello Mastroianni for Best Young Actor or Actress at the 67th Venice International Film Festival, and nominations for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
Because of performance excellence Kunis was nominated for multiple awards, including her first Golden Globe, for the 2010 film Black Swan.
During the demanding production process, she suffered injuries including a torn ligament and a dislocated shoulder. Black Swan has received widespread acclaim from critics was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
She played a rival ballet dancer to the main character, played by Natalie Portman. Director Darren Aronofsky cast Kunis in the film based on her performance in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and on the recommendation of co-star and close friend Natalie Portman She underwent a training regimen that included cardiovascular exercise, a 1,200-calorie a day diet , and ballet classes for four hours a day, seven days a week.
“In 2014, Kunis will be co-starring with Channing Tatum in her her first sci-fi
film, Jupiter Ascending. Directed by the Wachowskis the film is scheduled to be
released on July 25, 2014”
In 2013, Kunis played Theodora, the youngest of three witches, opposite James Franco, in the Walt Disney Pictures’ prequel, Oz the Great and Powerful.
