Dear Fashionistas,

April is here and wedding bells are going here, there and everywhere! Planning a wedding can be one of the most nerve wrecking procedures ever, the question is why?! Yes it is understandingly stressful, but the thing is, every bride should never lose sight of the idea that this day is all about love. Love for her future husband whom she will spend the rest of her life with, love for her family and friends who will share this special day with her, and love for the first day of the rest of her life. At the end of he day, it is actually your special and not of anyone else, so it should never be about impressing this or that, but it should be really about what you both want, and what will make both of you happy, and yes ladies BOTH, you read it right! Yes it is far fetched to ask brides to “chill” but at least always remember that it is all about love, so love your dress, love your shoes, love your veil and tiara, and for heaven’s sake love the people around you and give them a break!

In our April issue, we bring you the latest news about SS14 collections from some of CFR’s favourite Egyptian brands. In our features section, you get to see who sizzled and who fizzled on the Grammy’s red carpet in Awards Season 2014 Best & Worst Dressed Editor’s Pick (Part3). We try to make your wedding day less stressful as much as we can, so take your pick from a selection of fabulous bridal shoes in our First Comes the Shoe... Then I DO! feature. In this month’s IT List: In Holy Matrimony, we bring you best of the best of bridal inspired couture. Check out 2 glamorous wedding guest attire looks for both day and night wedding, inspired by Taylor Swift. Last but not least, take a romantic journey with us in our April’s editorial: Bridal Escapades, where bridal meets art in an alluring black and white world of enchantment. Hope you enjoy our bridal issue our lovely fashionistas everywhere.

AMinA K... SS14 Lawrence of Arabia Collection KrAK BABy... The STASH Collection

This SS collection is about the unexpected mix created when integrating two worlds together. Amina K is constantly inspired by the Egyptian culture, yet also highly influenced with the Western world. That is why “Lawrence of Arabia” was the perfect channel for this collection. This season’s colour palette is based on the soothing colours of the desert, the sky and mountains as pictured in the movie. Light hues as cream, beige, camel and light grey are the dominant colours of the collection, in addition to darker tones such as khaki and navy blue. Amina K enjoyed combining the two themes by adding subtle military details to the comfortable silhouettes of the abayas and kaftans. By using soft and soothing fabrics, Amina K again was capable of presenting a collection that allows women to feel elegant, confident and above all comfortable.

Krak Baby’s latest collection titled ‘STASH’ revolves around the depiction of different vices combined with popular everyday icons. The STASH collection consists of 3 limited Egyptian cotton t-shirts and a snapback cap, each one portraying a vice. The Trip Tee has a video game legend, our favorite Italian plumber, indulging in his vice of choice, a vice that many fans of the character can relate to. The Krakaceuticals Tee takes a symbol known to be affiliated with health and medicine and adds a leafy herb that prompts one to think of Bob Marley. However, this leafy herb is now becoming increasingly recognized for its medicinal properties and association with the health industry. The third tee in the STASH collection is the Burglar King Tee. This design communicates the message that gambling, a popular vice, is akin to having your money robbed. STASH t-shirts are so called due to a small hidden pocket on the inside of every tee that aids its wearer in keeping their vice safe. Also in the STASH collection is a very limited release of STASH snapback caps with a galaxy pattern on the brim and embroidered logos on the front.

Beyonce in Michael Costello, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Queen B hit all the right marks with this sheer floral frock that translated into sheer magnificence! The dress hugs her body spectacularly, it is like a second skin to the songstress diva. #BootyliciousBonanza!

Katy Perry in Valentino Haute Couture. Miz Perry never ceases to amaze us every time she steps out on the red carpet. The songstress glided on the red carpet in a flowing ethereal gown with musical notes all over as a nod to the Grammys. The whole look was light as air and whimsical as it hit a high note indeed.

Chrissy Teigen in Johanna Johnson, Casadei shoes and Neil Lane jewelry. The Sports Illustrated model looked modelesque indeed in this dazzling reflective disco ball inspired number. The gold sequins compliment Chrissy’s skin tone and her loose golden waves to perfection. And kudos for playing down the accessories, leaving the dress to take center stage.

Taylor Swift in Gucci and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Taylor swifts us off our feet with this metallic chic frock. The singer/songwriter starlet always nails it on the red carpet and the Grammys was no exception. What makes this dress really interesting is the contradiction between the feminine silhouette against the suit of armor vibe it has going on. #KnightessInShiningArmor!

Kathy Griffin in… who the hell cares?! The D List star will not even score a D with this hideousness, as it is a well deserved capital F! Well the joke is on you this time Griffin as you slithered into all kinds of wrong with this lizard inspired horror of a dress. Crawl away into oblivion and do us all a favor!

Paula Patton in Nicolas Jebran and David Yurman jewels. Is it a zebra? Is it a lion? Is it a royal hot mess??!! So much print, too many sequins, and the sleeves provide the final overkill. I wonder what those lion heads are whispering to each other while lounging in gaudy central…

Paris Hilton in House of Milani. Hilton is giving us the ice queen routine in this misguided skater inspired dress that is really walking on thin ice ready to dive into deep and utter desolation. The turtle neck is so stiff and the sleeves takes tackiness to a whole new level. In other words, that is one dress that would gladly pass for an over bedazzled brace.

Zendaya in Emanuel Ungaro, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Edie Parker clutch. The Shake it up young starlet failed to impress in this scaly mismatched bizarre ensemble. So young with so many choices, so why choose to look like that and impersonate the Loch Ness monster is unsettling in so many ways.
