Food Preservation – A CSU Food Safety  Advisor will teach you ho w to “ put up” your bountif ul harve st. Canni ng and Fr eezin g tech- niques will be emphasized. OR  And attend the se thr ee cla ss es in the aft er noo n ( 12 :30 T O 3:30 PM) Fall Garden T asks – Learn how to put your garden to bed for the Winter and get a jump start in the Spring. T opics include green manure, garden sanitation, fall amendment application and tool care. Insects and Diseases – An overview of the most common pest and d isease problems in Colorado vegetable gardens. How to prevent them and how to safely treat them if you have them. Lessons From the Demo Garden – See what’s happening in Jeff erson County’ s hor ticultural demonstra- tion garden. Get tips on vertical gardening, container vegeta bles, growing blueberries, and season extend- ers. See the results of vege table trials for Colorado.
