Fall CElebration 2020
PRESIDENT’S LETTER
Our Philosophy on Continuing EducationBased upon a vitalistic approach to health, LIFE views health care in the following manner:
• CONDITION-BASED CARECare that is provided to the patient for a specific health issue until that health issue is resolved or stabilized.
• CORRECTIVE-BASED CARE Care that is provided to the patient who either had no spe-cific health issue at entrance or the health issue at entrance was resolved/stabilized by the condition-based care. The corrective-based care phase presumes that the patient has clinical findings consistent with subluxation or another health issue that is asymptomatic but requires correction to the point of maximum possible correction.
•WELLNESS DEVELOPMENT-BASED CARECare provided to the patient who has minimal or no consis-tent or persistent clinical findings. Care is provided for the
purpose of reaching optimal performance within the aspects of Physical, Emotional, Social, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual wellbeing.
The vitalistic approach divides our continuing education offerings into chiropractic-related courses and courses whose content is offered through degree programs throughout the University.
Welcome to the 2020 LIFE Vision Extravaganza/Fall CElebration event on the campus of Life University. We are pleased to have you with us for a weekend that has become a staple event in the profession not only for attending CE classes, but also for gathering together as a community to celebrate the myriad of accomplishments at our University with lifelong friends and classmates. Due to Governor Kemp’s recent Executive Order, this event will be different and valuable. Through our ability to offer you online CE presentations, as well as LIVE Streaming, LIFE Vision Extravaganza/Fall CElebration remains one of the largest CE events in the profession.
I know that many look forward to the reunions, parties and time to see all the changes that have taken place at LIFE. Although we will not be hosting many of the events that we normally do, there are two very special events we hope and encourage all of you to attend. The first is our TGIF event on Friday evening in the Vendor Hall. Plan to join us from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for a beverage and light snack, and visit with our supportive sponsors and vendors. On Saturday night, our Rugby team will be playing the 404, the academy team for Rugby ATL. During halftime, we will recognize the first Life University Rugby Team to win a National Championship in 2000. There will be a Beer Garden provided by Alumni Relations and LIFEForce, all ready to welcome you to our premier sports program.
I wish to personally acknowledge our reunion year Classes of ’80, ’90 and ’95, and hope that over the next two days you will find some special time together at both of these events.
The LIFE campus in the fall is a sight to behold and marvel, and I hope you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and your respite from the fast-paced activities of everyday practice life. I want to thank you for choosing Life University for your continuing education. If you have any questions or concerns during the weekend, please speak with one of our Fall CEl-ebration Hosts. They will be more than happy to help you. We wish you a wonderful weekend here at Life University!
Sincerely,Rob Scott, D.C., Ph.D.
