In 1926, Grace Fyler has a support-ive family, a steady boyfriend, anda good factory job. She and her girl-friends paint luminous watch dials

with newly invented radium-basedpaint. After some of the girls experi-ence symptoms of a mysterious illness,Grace questions whether the paint is

to blame. She quits her job but she,too, develops symptoms. Grace takesaction and sues her employer.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie”The guild closes its season with

the zany musical based on the popularmovie, “Thoroughly Modern Millie,”May 1-3 and 7-10, 2015.

Webster Groves Theatre Guildkicked off its 88th season of communi-ty theater last weekend with the com-edy, “Dearly Departed.”

The comedy continues Sept. 12, 13and 14. Set in the Baptist backwoods

of the Bible Belt, the play tells the sto-ry of the beleaguered Turpin family.It proves that living and dying in theSouth are seldom tidy and always hi-larious.

The 2014-2015 season will contin-ue with the drama, “Bus Stop” (Nov.7-9 and 13-16); followed by the Don-ald Marguiles drama, “Dinner WithFriends” (Jan 9-11 and 15-18, 2015);the comedy, “You Can’t Take It With
