Absences:

Students are permitted 6 Unauthorized Absences

per a semester course, 3 from a quarter course,

and 12 from a fully year course without penalty

and potential impact on grades and credits earned

for all classes.

For each authorized absences in a course beyond

the allotted days, students will lost credit for any

assessments conducted that day. The student is

responsible for any information that was missed

on these days, even though credit will not be

awarded.

Tardiness:

A. 1st and 2nd Offenses—Teacher Warning

B. 3rd and 4th Offense—Teacher phone call

to parent/guardian

C. 5th Offenses and all subsequent lateness

will be referred to the VP.

Seniors who are chronically late to school and

are parking on property will receive the fol-

lowing consequences:

A. 10th late to school—1 week suspension

of parking

B. B. 15th late to school—2 weeks suspen-

sion of parking

C. C. 19th late to school—loss of parking

spot for remainder of school year.

Lattes are cumulative for the school year, not

based on semesters.

Seniors and senior parents are strongly encouraged to complete

the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as

possible in order to maximize opportunities for federal and institu-

tional aid. The window to complete the FAFSA opened on Octo-

ber 1st. You can access the FAFSA and other information about

federal student aid programs at https://studentaid.ed.gov.

Also, there is now a mobile app available that will allow you to

complete the FAFSA safely from your phone. The app is called

myStudentAid and is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Dear Parents and Students,

We are quickly approaching the end of the first semester and I wanted to share some reminders with you regarding the final exam schedule. Final exams will be on January 29th, 30th, 31st. Every student, except for seniors who have earned exemption, is expected to be present and on time on these days to complete their exams so they may earn a final grade for their first semester and marking period 2 courses. February 1st will begin the second semes-ter; this will be a half-day session and students will report to their grade room to receive a copy of their class sched-ule for semester 2. Any absence must be supported by documentation as outlined in the Attendance Policy and approved by the Principal. No approval will be given without documentation from a doctor or other agency. Students who arrive late for an examination must report to the Attendance Office for a pass and may be required to take the exam during the make-up period. The exam schedule is listed on the back of this letter. Missing the bus is not a valid excuse. Any unsupported absence will result in a 0 as the final

grade for the final exam.

All first semester obligations must be cleared up prior to February 1st for a student to be in good standing and eligi-ble to participate in school activities. Textbooks are to be returned on the day of the exam to each classroom teacher and library books are to be returned to the Media Center.

Students are required to be present on January 29th through January 31st for their schedule exams only. Busing will be available at the conclusion of each exam period. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding final exams. Thank you for your support.

In the event of inclement weather, the exam schedule will resume accordingly upon our return to school (e.g. if weather closes school on Tuesday, Tuesday’s exams will be held upon our return on Wednesday). Students must have permission from Princi-pal/VP to take exam at any other time than the scheduled day.

Girls Basketball

The Girls Basketball Team won is 5th game in a row and improved to 9-3 on the season after beating Palmyra 59-45 on Friday, January 18th.

Great Job Girls!!

Jaylyn James (21 points) and Kalyn Byrd (14 points) powered the Falcon’s

offense in the lopsided win. The team earned their 6th win in a row yes-

terday and improved to 10-3 with a convincing 58-23 victory over

Willingboro.

Congrats to Zhanye Vines and Gianna Abbruzzese for placing 2nd in the Shop Put Relay and Jordan Lee, Semi Robertson,

Donovan Wright and Dakota Oyuela for placing 6th in the Spring Medley Relay at the Group 3 State Relays.

The Girls Basketball Team won another game, last night, Thurs-

day, January 24th, defeating Pemberton 64-63. It’s their 7th win

in a row and they now stand at 11-3. Come out tonight, Friday,

January 25th to see them take on Woodstown at 7:00pm

Boys Bowling

Nathan Klinger opened the match with a 214 high game, and finished with a 563 high series in the Falcons sweep against Wes-tampton Tech, 4-0.

Great Job Boys!!

Girls Bowling

Chloe Mazza had a 535 high series as well as a 191 high game to lead the Falcons to the win against Wes-tampton Tech 3.5-.5. Elizabeth Barnes bowled a 181 game and a 493 series in the win.

Great Job Girls!!

Wrestling

Congratulations to the wrestling team who won over Pennsauken, on Wednesday, Jan-uary 23rd, 40-34. Karly Costello, Shariel Ra-mos, Ethan Wisnewski, Kurtis Leschak, Alex-ander DeAngelis, Craig Cook, Michael Limo-ne and Jake Marshall all had wins.
