You may be asking yourself; what vision is taking place here? In this momentary interaction Jesus, the manifestation of God with humanity is accepting of giving blessings to many people then parents brought their young children to Jesus. This excerpt of Jesus and the children happened during the few years that Jesus was in His earthly ministry of reconciliation of the disenfranchised, healing, and transformation of lives. On this day Jesus had preached to crowds preforming all the above-mentioned items, afterward some parents brought little children to Jesus to be blessed. Ministry was in full swing, the disciples witnessed everything that had taken place in their midstbut then they reject the children. The Apostles saw this blessing as a bother to Jesus. Our Lord however has a different way of looking at His children, instead as the world sees them. Jesus Im sure saw the potential of what was happening here. There were a few things that were taking place. First there are the parents faithful witness here. The parents of the children brought their babies to Jesus to be blessed demonstrating the deep faith. The second thing that was happening is that the Apostles are looking at this as a nuisance instead of a blessing. After all, children should be seen and not heard, right? Wrong!!!! Children are the future of all things and as Gods children they should have opportunities to receive Gods blessing at all moments of their lives, as we all should. I believe that some of us are in the same position as the Apostles, we say to ourselves we dont want to bring this or that to Jesus because we would bother Him. This isnt the case; Jesus doesnt get bothered by His children. All who trust Jesus approach Him as if you are a child receiving love and grace, for you my friends are a child of God. As a child of God know that Jesus never rejects you or forsakes you because He wants all His children to not be hindered and come to Him. - Pastor Andrew Sanders Pastor’s Corner

SEPTEMBER 2021

Jesus Blesses the Children Luke 18:15-17 15 One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he

could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.

16 Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom

of God belongs to those who are like these children. 17 I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the

Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

I love this scripture of Jesus demonstrating the worlds interactions with a heavenly vision.

Ministry was in full swing, the disciples witnessed everything that had taken place in their midst… but then they reject the children.

The Apostles saw this blessing as a bother to Jesus. Our Lord however has a different way of looking at His children, instead as the world sees them. Jesus I’m sure saw the potential of what was happening here. Wrong!!!! Children are the future of all things and as God’s children they should have opportunities to receive God’s blessing at all moments of their lives, as we all should.

I believe that some of us are in the same position as the Apostles, we say to ourselves we don’t want to bring this or that to Jesus because we would bother Him. This isn’t the case; Jesus doesn’t get bothered by His children. All who trust Jesus approach Him as if you are a child receiving love and grace, for you my friends are a child of God. As a child of God know that Jesus never rejects you or forsakes you because He wants all His children to not be hindered and come to Him.
