Your ASURITE UserID is unique and is yours to use as

long as you are associated with the university, and is

used to login to a variety on online applications.

Activating & Adding Services

Before you can get started using ASU’s online

services, email, and campus computers, you’ll need to

activate your ASURITE UserID. You can also add

services to your ASURITE UserID, depending on your

position at the university.

Computing Access Forms

Some services require that a request authorization

form be completed before access to the service can

be granted. You can complete many of these forms

online.

ASURITE Password

Your ASURITE password is a crucial part of your

ASURITE UserID. During activation you will need to

setup a secure password, and answer several identity

verification questions. Completing these questions

will allow you access to change your password online

in the future. ASU requires that all users change their

password at least once every six months. If you feel

your account has been comprised, contact your

campus Help Desk.

ASU takes computer security seriously and

encourages the ASU community to choose a strong

computer password, keep antivirus software current,

and install operating system updates regularly. To

find out more about how to keep your computer

secure, visit the ASU Computer Security Web site.

The university utilizes Outlook/Exchange as it’s

primary email system for faculty and staff. Your

Outlook/Exchange account will help you sort and

store your mail, keep your calendar current, and

schedule meetings as necessary. Many departments

and colleges store documentation and emails within

Outlook Public Folders. Go online for instructions on

The university provides many computer classrooms

on each of the campuses. Computer classrooms are

mediated classrooms that are also outfitted with

networked computers for student use.

Many of ASU’s classes are mediated classrooms.

Mediated classrooms are classrooms equipped with

teaching technologies designed to enhance your

classroom experience, including lecterns and

audio/visual equipment.
