EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT

Department: Health Sciences/KIN

This Agreement is entered on 5/22/15 by and between Wendy Ansley ("Employee") and the Desert Community College District ("District").

The parties agree as follows:

1) District employs Employee and the Employee accepts employment in School of Health Sciences & Education to provide the following services:

Department Chair: Health Sciences/KIN (see attached for duties)

2) Unless sooner terminated, the initial term of this employment shall be: 8/27/15 through 5/27/16.

3) Employee shall be compensated on the following basis for the first year (list salary):

$1, 100 - August 2015 $1,100 - September 2015 $1, 100 - October 2015 $1, 100 - November 2015 $1, 100 - December 2015

$1, 100 - January 2016 $1, 100 - February 2016 $1,100-March 2016 $1,100 -April 2016 $1,100-May2016

NOT TO EXCEED: $ 11,000.00

Employee shall submit an approved invoice for applicable payroll period/pay day. Employee agrees to payroll deductions which include: Federal and State taxes, Social Security and Medicare taxes, as may be individually applicable. Employee also agrees to obtain fingerprints and tuberculosis skin test as required by the Education Code.

4) Employee understands and acknowledges that this employment is of a temporary nature and does not provide Employee any additional rights to probationary or tenure status. Other than the compensation provided in paragraph 3 herein, Contract shall not be entitled to any other additional fringe benefits of the District.

5) This Employment Contract will be null and void if payroll documents are not completed when applicable and this agreement is not signed by the employee 10 days prior to the beginning date of employment.

6) Other Conditions: In situations in which the Dean and Department Chair have irreconcilable differences that have been documented surrounding the approved and agreed upon duties and responsibilities, the Dean will notify the appropriate Vice President. The Association and District will meet and confer regarding the situation and make recommendation(s) to the Academic Senate President and the appropriate Vice President. The Academic Senate President and appropriate Vice President will provide their recommendations within 3 days of the conclusion of their meeting to the President who will make a final decision on the matter. Not all reassigned time and stipends listed in this agreement must be funded. By the 8th week of the spring semester, the District will determine reassigned time and stipend assignments that will be funded for the following academic year. The District may rescind the assignment prior to the start of a semester if it is deemed that adequate funding is not available. This is in accordance with the CTA Collective Bargaining Contract.

These services include providing teachers content on physics and engineering concepts that that may then apply in The classrooms during the following school year. This Agreement is entered on 5/12/2015by and between D. Clayton Mayes ("Employee") and the Desert Community College District ("District").

The parties agree as follows:

1) District employs Employee and the Employee accepts employment in School of Applied Sciences and Business to provide the following services:

5) This Employment Contract will be null and void if payroll documents are not completed when applicable and this agreement is not signed by the Temporary Employee 10 days prior to the beginning date of employment.

6) Other Conditions: In situations in which the Dean and Department Chair have irreconcilable differences that have been documented surrounding the approved and agreed upon duties and responsibilities, the Dean will notify the appropriate Vice President. The Association and District will meet and confer regarding the situation and make recommendation(s) to the Academic Senate President and the appropriate Vice President. The Academic Senate President and appropriate Vice President will provide their recommendations within 3 days of the conclusion of their meeting to the President who will make a final decision on the matter. Not all reassigned time and stipends listed in this agreement must be funded. By the 8th week of the spring semester, the District will determine reassigned time and stipend assignments that will be funded for the following academic year. The District may rescind the assignment prior to the start of a semester if it is deemed that adequate funding is not available. This is in accordance with the CTA Collective Bargaining Contract.

The Academic Senate President and appropriate Vice President will provide their recommendations within 3 days of the conclusion of their meeting to the President who will make a final decision on the matter. Not all reassigned time and stipends listed in this agreement must be funded. By the 8th week of the spring semester, the District will determine reassigned time and stipend assignments that will be funded for the following academic year. The District may rescind the assignment prior to the start of a semester if it is deemed that adequate funding is not available. This is in accordance with the CTA Collective Bargaining Contract.
