SOLUTION
AOK 201ACTIVE ORBITAL KIT 201
A complete package that has a variety of uses, ba-sed on Active Compliant Technology combined with a robot-friendly eccentric sander, which delivers the following bene ts:
☑ consistent high quality☑ tolerance compensation☑ easy jobmodulation
INITIAL SITUATION Both, HASE and the customers greatly value the perfect and high-quality look of the stoves. The grinding process during production is vital for the end quality. A large order book and a serious shortage of quali ed grinding person-nel on the labor market were critical for choosing automa-tion.
THE PROCESSIn order to achieve the perfect stove, the steel parts have to be grinded perfectly. Even the smallest defects are visible in the 25-micrometer high-temperature paint that is later applied. The rough grinding and nesse sanding therefore have to deliver the desired result.
THE AUTOMATIONThe process was automated using a grinding cell together with the integrator SHL AG. The cell contains a robot which grips the manually provided parts. First, they are passed to a belt grinder for basic processing in order to nally get the perfect nish and the required structure-free surface pattern from the FerRobotics AOK eccentric sander. The cycle time is 6 minutes.
THE RESULT• solution for the shortage of specialists by saving personnel• high-quality surfaces and reproducible quality• optimization of the abrasive used
