Ty Pozzobon will be missed While bull- riding star Ty Pozzobon’s cir- cles of influence radiate out from this valley to the wider rodeo community in Canada & in the uS, Merritt mourns the loss of a local boy. With his talent, hard work & easy- going attitude he was a local boy who made good. He was a gracious ambassa- dor for our town, he put us on the map and we are proud to be his hometown. Many knew him personally: from growing up in school and as part of the Nicola Valley ranching community. But for those who didn’t, we were touched by him nonetheless. Every win, every headline, every interview, we rooted for him all the way. And his PBR invitational was one of the most popular & well-at- tended event ever held here. To his family, who remain deeply em- bedded in our community, our sincere condolences and know that we will al- ways fondly remember your boy. —KL BC Hydro winter 16/17 payment plan BC Hydro today announced a special 2016/2017 Winter Payment Plan option that will give residential customers the choice to spread bill payments over a six month period.
