Graduates of 2009 faced an unprecedented economic downturn not seen in decades. Many factors in locating jobs were out of graduates’ control, yet, they have found success. To assist these graduates, UNI has worked hard to provide opportunities and resources for graduates. CareerCat New career management system that makes it easier for companies to reach UNI students.
UNI Alumni Career Services In July 2009, UNI launched a new career office through the Alumni Association to focus on the unique needs of UNI graduates.
Career Readiness Model Partnership with academic affairs to better prepare students for the transition from classroom to career.
Paint Iowa Purple Tour Meeting with local leaders around Iowa to develop internship programs and partnerships.
Zone Structure Restructuring of Career Services to better meet the needs of employers and students. ‐ Business & Industry ‐ Education ‐ Liberal Arts & Sciences (for government, healthcare, & non‐profit)

NACE are shared by member institutions, of which UNI belongs.
