My boyfriend ran away and the men dragged me into a nearby veld and raped me for several hours,” Mogale said. The other three incidents happened at her home. “My house has been broken into about six times and on three of those occasions I was raped,” said Mogale. Mogale said because the rapes took place in the dark she could not say for sure how many men had been involved, but she remembered hearing at least three different voices each time. “On one occasion I can only assume there were three men involved because they even prepared food and drinks for themselves, I counted three glasses on the table hence I think there were three assailants,” she said, while checking with her sister to avoid mixing the facts of the incidents. WITH his star firmly on the rise, ThabaNchu-born crooner Serame Sediti iskeeping his feet firmly on the ground.Express caught up with the 30-year-old

who started singing traditional Zulumusic, Isicathamiya, at the tender age often in Lesotho.

Where were you born?I was born in Lesotho and

moved to South Africa in 1996.

Tell us about your careerthus far.

Although I have been singingsince the age of ten, I would saymy career really started to takeoff in 2008 after entering (andwinning) many talent shows from2001 to 2008.

What was your big break in 2008?I got to open for big acts like Ringo and

Stimela at the Mangaung African CulturalFestival and this is where I feel thingsstarted to happen for me.

You have performed in almost all theprovinces in South Africa. How did thishappen?

In 2010, I made it to the top 57 of thewildly popular Idols South Africasame year I also made the top 30 ofAfrican Pop Stars I was the only contestantrepresenting the Free State and I think thisis where I was really noticed.

Amongst the people you thank for yourcareer taking off is none other than theFree State premier, Ace Magashule whyis this?

I attended the recent TNA BusinessBriefing held in Bloemfontein and becauseMagashule had heard me perform before, hesimply pointed to me and said I must sing. Itwas a live recording and they ended upbroadcasting my performance to the whole ofSouth Africa and for that I am grateful.

What are you busy with now, careerwise?

I do a lot of corporate gigs and alsoperform regularly at government functions. Ialso get booked quite a lot for weddings andother private celebrations.

With a voice like yours you must be ahit with the women? Anyone special?

I actually only recently met the lady in mylife, who is a very private person, and Ihave the international television star TerryPheto to thank for “accidentally” hooking usup.

How did Terry “accidentally” hook youup?

I was performing at an event held inBloemfontein recently where Terry wasmaster of ceremonies. She saw me next tothe lady and referred to her as my girlfriendand I took it from there.) To watch Serame perform John Leg-end’s hit song, All of me, visitwww.express-news.co.za.

NEWS

ALMOST 60 days havepassed since the multi-storyguesthouse of the SynagogueChurch of All Nationscollapsed in Lagos, Nigeria. This tragic incident took

place on 12 September, butthe news about this onlyspread five days later.Among the 116 people who

were crushed to death were80 South African citizens. They were on a religiouspilgrimage to the Nigerianchurch led by the charismat-ic pastor TB Joshua.Though the South African

government, through theDepartment of InternationalRelations and Co-operation(Dirco), was helpful inexpediting the return of 25South African survivors on22 September – the samecannot be said about thereturn of the 80 bodies ofthose who had passed away.Families of the deceased

feel hard done by Dirco’slethargic pace in ensuringthe repatriation of theirloved ones from Nigeria.South Africans have

varying views on whethergovernment should getinvolved in the repatriationof the 80 bodies or not. Some are irked that the

deceased pilgrims had aplethora of local churches tochoose from and did nothave to travel to Lagos forspiritual healing. Admittedly, the deceased jetted to Lagoson private business, but theonus lies with government tolook after the safety of SouthAfrican citizens on foreignsoil through embassies.

The SouthAfricangovernmentmay not beobliged toincur funeralcosts for thedeceased, butit is govern-ment’sresponsibilityto dispatch a militaryaircraft to fetch thosealready decomposing bodies. On 17 July a Malaysian

passenger jet MH17 en routefrom Amsterdam to KualaLumpur was struck by amissile in the Ukraine, killing all 293 passengers onboard. The identification ofbodies and DNA testing wascompleted urgently.Hardly three weeks after

that disaster, the bodies ofthe deceased were repatriat-ed to the Netherlands,Malaysia and Australia. If a claim that Nigeria is

Africa’s largest economy isanything to go by, how comeit lacks refrigeration andDNA facilities? In April, 219 school girls

were kidnapped from Chibokby Boko Haram insurgentsand the Nigerian govern-ment promised the worldthat it would ensure the safereturn of the captives. In October, Nigerian

authorities claimed they hadreached a deal with BokoHaram to return the kid-napped girls. A few dayslater, Boko Haram’s Abu-bakar Shekau said there wasno deal reached and that thegirls have been married off

for money.I shudder to think what

will happen to the 80 bodiesof South Africans stuck inLagos if Nigerian authoritiescannot be trusted with thelives of their own citizens.South Africa should exert

more pressure on Nigeriaand act with more decisive-ness like it did when Chinasaid no to the Dalai Lamacoming to our shores.Dirco must dispatch

high-ranking officials whowill remain in Lagos untilthe deceased are returned. Itis about time South Africansstarted their own #Bring-BackOurPeople.) Jeff Radebe, minister inthe Presidency, left for Ni-geria on Monday to helpspeed up the repatriationprocess. It is worrying thathe could only say he is“hopeful” that themortalre-mains of those deceasedwould be brought back“soon”. I agree with thewriter here that more pres-sure must be exerted on theNigerian government. – Ed.) Send contributions ofabout500words, includingaheadandshouldersphoto, [email protected].

NEWS

} Past. Mutombo Kumwimba

IT is the will of God for us torun back to His feet when werealise that we have sinned. Stillit is His will to forgive us, helpus get back on our feet and helpus not to make the same mistakeagain.God’s nature reveals that He

does not remember our sins oncewe truly repent and run to Himfor grace to keep in line withholiness.Isaiah 1 verse 18: Come now, let

us settle the matter though yoursins are like scarlet, they shall beas white as snow, though they arered as crimson, they shall be like

wool.Here we see God’s genuine

willingness to rescue us from sin,and if He said that though oursin are like scarlet it will bewhite as snow, though they arered as crimson they will be likewool. This is proof that when God

changes the colour of sin itmeans that it becomes impossiblefor Him to remember them, therefore when you sin as we alldo, do not run from God. Ratherrun back to Him with a brokenheart and He will forgive you. This is God’s side of the story. The torment of sin is Satan’s

side of the story. It is his way of

making people of God feelunworthy, dirty, unholy, unde-serving, unwanted and like awfulsinners.Revelations 12 verse 10: The

Bible calls him the accuser of ourbrothers, meaning he is the onetormenting us in our mind andreminding us that we are sinnerseven though we have repented.Satan reminds us because sin is

his food, therefore as a Christianonce you eat his food, you sin, hewould like you to stay with him. That is why he torments us

each time we pray. Many Christians have stopped

praying because they are tormen-ted by Satan. They have becomeconvinced that God cannotforgive them, and that eventhough they pray, God will neveranswer them.A person may start praying,

but a picture of adultery willcome to mind and they will stoppraying. For some it is a picture of

murder, lies, corruption, jealousyand so on and this dicourages

them. The reality is God has forgiven

us, we are washed in the blood ofJesus Christ and heaven is ourhome.Believe this word, forgive

yourself and know God hasforgiven already.) To hear more of thesemessages, for healing anddeliverance please visit us atthe New Horizon Ministry atthe Joe Solomon School inHeidedal every Sunday from09:00 for prayer line registra-tion. You can also send us anSMS to 071-214-9404.God bless, and remember,

you are forgiven.

Keep on praying no matter what

My last resort to bring backmy lost lover.

Me and my wife Bridget had givenup after losing my job and strugglingto keep up with my car and house

by giving me a magic ring which brought back hope into mylife. It cost me only R800 and for the first time in my life I went

into a casino with my wife and we used our magic to hit ajackpot. Now my house and car are paid off and my childrenare back in private schools - now life is so wonderful, so in

TOM SAINTFIET, former Free StateStars coach, said he had not seen hisdismissal coming. The Belgian mentor was relieved of

his duties last Thursday following hisside’s 5-2 defeat at the hands of visitingPolokwane City at the Charles MopeliStadium, just a day before he wasshown the door.He had only been at the helm for 11

matches. However, Saintfiet said he had no

hard feelings against the Bethlehem-side. Instead he wished Stars the bestof luck this season and beyond.“Honestly, it never crossed my mind

that I would be without a job after theCity game. I thought we played ourbest attacking football this seasonduring the first 45 minutes. Unfortu-nately the match was not live ontelevision,” Saintfiet told Express.“We created a dozen clear-cut

chances in the first half, but at the endof the match the result was shocking. No disrespect to City, but I mean, ifyou lose 2-5 against City it is unaccept-able. It was disappointing to lose amatch in that fashion,” he said. The 41-year-old becomes the sixth

THE Blue Label Telecoms T20 Proteascaptain, JP Duminy, says some key individualplayers taking part in the One-Day Interna-tional (ODI) series starting on Friday willtake confidence from their performances inthis series, while the new caps will take a lotof learning back to South Africa.“Someone like Rilee (Rossouw) would have

taken a lot out of this series,” Duminy saidafter the match.“In the one-day format he hasn’t really

taken opportunities to score big runs as yet,he will take a lot out of it. I think on thewhole, the guys who have come in without alot of international cricket experience nowhave a good feel of what it is about.“It’s (Australia) no better place to learn

your cricket from an international point ofview. Playing against Australia is always atough challenge, so there is a lot of experiencethat they can gain from this.”It was a disappointing end to Duminy’s first

series as captain; however, much pride can betaken from the way the team held on tostretch the match to the last two balls.“In an ideal world we would have liked that

but to defend as well as we did in that matchwas a positive.”Duminy says Australia will take some

confidence and momentum going into the ODIseries starting in Perth on Friday, but thereturn of the Proteas’ sextet of senior playerswill be a good morale lift for the squad.

Things in my life wentfrom good to worse in avery short time. My lovelive, financial problemsjealousy, my husband’s

family were all against me.Luckily I came acrossSonia through a friend. She helped me and

showed me my enemiesthrough a mirror for only R200. She did miracles in my life. She told me all my problems without mentioning anythingto her. She showed me the people who worked hard tosee me suffering some of which were my friends and

relatives. She performed a special prayer, washed awaymy bad luck and cleansed my home. Gave me a lovepotion with a ring for my financial problems in less thanfive days, my husband was always by my side and my

enemies confessed and asked for forgiveness. Come andvisit me at Bayswater.
