Expository Writing

• Used to explain, describe, and inform readers about a specific topic.

• This is done through giving direct information, and proving that the information is correct by showing the reader details.

• The author should use words that clearly show what they are talking about rather than blatantly telling the reader what is being discussed.

Summer is a time of year I am able to do two things I enjoy most, spending time with my family and watching fireworks on the Fourth of July. These are the reasons I treasure summer.
