Situationer

The Philippines is one of the 17 megadiverse

countries hosting more than 70% of the world’s

species

Many of the islands have a very high degree of

plant and animal endemism

On a per unit area basis, the Philippines

probably harbors more diversity of life than any

other country on the planet

NATIONAL TARGETS

Halve the proportion of people who

suffer from hunger

Achieve universal primary education

Reduce by 2/3 under-5 mortality rate

Reduce by 3 quarters the maternal

mortality ratio

Eliminate gender disparity
