hosting a professional development opportunity for K-12 public and private school teachers to explore and learn about

North Fork of the Shenandoah River. Join us for: • An exciting canoe trip on the North Fork of the

Shenandoah River that flows north through the Shenandoah Valley with Chesapeake Bay

Foundation instructors.

• Fun and interesting field trips with natural resource professionals throughout the North Fork Watershed to learn how our daily lives impact water health and how

our community uses the river. • A day of learning and exploration of educational

materials for use in the classroom. • Teachers will meet again in 2012 to share classroom

lessons and experiences that will be posted on the Friends of the North Fork’s website.

45 recertification points are available for participating Shenandoah County Public School teachers who complete the entire program. For more information or to receive an
