LAB LEARNERIn 2014, Saint Theresa School installed LabLearner! LabLearner includes a fully equipped in-school laboratory. It teaches science by doing science. Mathematics is woven into each investigation that students perform as well as in the analysis of experiments. Students use equipment such as spectrophotometers, multimeters and microscopes just to name a few. LabLearner is utilized by all our students in K-8th grade. Students engage in hands on experiments performed in a laboratory setting as well as lessons that are integrated into their own classrooms. Experiments and classroom lessons use metacognitive tools that prompt students to use numerous learning and thinking strategies. LabLearner aligns with the Pennsylvania Science, Technology, Engineering and Math standards (STEM) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

PARENT TESTIMONIALS

Our son wakes up excited about going to school every day. He loves his teachers, his classes and we love the excellent and faith-based education he is receiving.

The environment is very nurturing and warm. STS is committed to academic excellence with a solid Catholic foundation.

St. Theresa School promotes a true “family” environment for our children. The teachers and staff go out of their way to personalize educational opportunities and engage not just the students, but parents in the learning and development process. We feel so good about the academic and value-based education that our children receive from the amazing team at St. Theresa School.

It’s more than a school, it’s a family.

Three of our children from preschool have gone through STS. We are confident they are prepared for life and eternity.

It’s a great place to learn! Teachers are very caring and nurturing. Students grow in a positive atmosphere of respect, integrity and values.
