Eastern Shore: Take Highway 13 South to Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. At the end of the bridge, follow the signs for Norfolk. This will put you onto Northampton Blvd. Look for I-64 East/Norfolk. Take Exit 9 (left turn), which is Waterside Dr. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Go one block then turn left onto East Main St. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

North: Take I-95 South to I-64 East. To bypass Richmond, you can also take I-295 towards Norfolk, and then take I-64 East. From I-64 East, take exit 284A onto I-264 West (Norfolk). Take Exit 9 (on the left), which is Waterside Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Continue for one block then turn left onto East Main St. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

South: From North Carolina Take I-95 North to the Emporia exit. Then continue East on Highway 58 to I-264 East. Take Exit 9 which is Waterside Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Continue for one block then turn left onto East Main Street. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

East: From Virginia BeachTake I-264 West (Norfolk). Take Exit 9 which is Waterside Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Continue for one block then turn left onto East Main Street. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

West: Take I-64 East. Follow to Exit 284A onto I-264 West (Norfolk). Take Exit 9 which is Waterside Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Continue for one block then turn left onto East Main St. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

Airport: As you Exit the Airport, follow Norview Ave. Look for signs for Route 64. You will see an overpass ahead of you. Merge into the right lane to take I-64 East. Follow I-64 East to I-264 West. Take Exit 9 which is Waterside Drive. Turn right at the 2nd light onto Atlantic St. Continue for one block then turn left onto East Main St. The Norfolk Waterside Marriott will be on the left.

Parking Procedures for the Norfolk Waterside Marriott

There is no longer an attendant at the Main Street Parking Garage for the Marriott:

The parking deck for the Marriott is located on the corner of Atlantic and Main Street across from the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. You will receive a parking ticket upon entry.

This ticket must be taken to the front desk of the Marriott to be stamped for you to charge to your Guest room. When you exit the garage, you will put this ticket into the parking meter. If you plan on exiting multiple times out of the garage during your stay, insert the stamped ticket in the machine, and take it back. The garage will give you a new ticket upon your return; however still use the stamped ticket during your stay. Your charge for parking will be automatically billed to your Guest room at a parking rate of $13.00 (+ tax) per car/per night.

Valet Parking thru Hotel is $26.00/day.

For those who will only be attending the event, but do not require overnight parking, guests can either park at the Main Street Garage, OR the Waterside Street Garage, which is directly connected to the hotel. Weekend evening parking rate is a flat $7.00 fee or $1.50/per hour depending on the weekend.

Exhibitor Policy Guidelines

LOAD IN/LOAD OUTThis is only permitted at the loading dock located off Atlantic Avenue. Martin’s Lane loading bay may be utilized for exhibits taking place in the Norfolk Ballroom. The Hotel Lobby is restricted.

PARKINGTrucks and containers may be parked temporarily at the dock entrance and must be removed as soon as they are emptied. Under no circumstances can they be left on property overnight.

SHIPPING/RECEIVINGShould items be shipped to the Norfolk Waterside Marriott for your event they can arrive as early as 3 days prior to the event. Please mark all packages for your event as follows:

All items that need to be shipped after the event must have a pre-paid shipping label. It is also the exhibitor’s responsibility to schedule for package pick-up.

FRA Exhibit Rules & Regulations1. Registration.All exhibitors and sponsors, including staff manning the booth, are re-quired to register as participating attendees at the FRA Healthy Wealthy and Wise 2019. Conference registration entitles exhibitors and spon-sors to participate fully in all open conference workshops, keynotes, and social events on the program agenda.

2. Exhibit Data.Each booth area is 10 x 8 ft. and includes one 6 ft. skirted table and two chairs. All exhibitors are expected to fill out the appropriate forms with the decorating company for any additional, drapage, AV, electrical, etc. All necessary order forms and shipping information will be provided in the Exhibitor’s Manual.

3. Booth Blocks.In the event an organization would like to purchase multiple booth space or if two exhibitors would like adjoining space, this request MUST be indicated on the Booth Application forms and must be received at the same time as spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Every effort will be made to accommodate adjoining booth requests, but final assignment is at the discretion of the Conference Coordinator. 4. Exhibit Installation.Exhibit installation hours are TDB. Exhibitors agree that all booths will be operational and staffed during all continental breakfasts, receptions, and breaks.

5. Dismantling Exhibits.Exhibits may be dismantled on TDB

6. Canceled Booths.Cancellations made by TBD will receive a refund, less the $200.00 conference cancellation fee. There will be no refunds after TBD. All cancellations and requests for refunds must be in writing and sent to the attention of Kimberly Afolabi: [email protected]

7. No Shows.If an Exhibitor fails to install or display in assigned space or fails to comply with any other provision of this agreement, FRA shall have the right, without notice to Exhibitor, to take possession of said space and lease said space, or any part thereof, to such parties, and upon such terms and conditions, as it may deem proper.

Any exhibitors who do not show up will not get a refund. If you e-mail, fax, or mail your cancellation notice, please call to confirm receipt.

8. Fees.Full payment must accompany the application for booth space. Exhib-itor Information Packets and booth assignments will be mailed after confirmation and payment of full conference registration. Shared booth space is prohibited. All materials, services, and products represented must be wholly owned or managed by the exhibitor on record.

9. Indemnification & Hold Harmless.The exhibitor shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FRA and its officers, directors, partners, agents, members, and employees from and against any and all demands, claims, damages to person or property, losses and liability, includ- ing reasonable attorney fees (collectively “claims”) arising out of or caused by the exhibitor’s negli- gence in con-nection with the provision of services of the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. The exhibi- tor shall not have waived or be deemed to have waived, by reason of this paragraph, any defense, which it may have with respect to such claims.

FRA shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the exhibitor and its officers, directors, partners, agents, members, and employees from and against any and all demands, claims, damages to person or property, losses and liabilities, including reasonable attorney fees (collectively “claims”) arising out of or caused by the FRA’s negligence. FRA shall not have waived or be deemed to have waived, by reason of this para-graph, any defense that it may have with respect to such claims.

Exhibitors assume the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages, and claims arising out of injury or damage to their displays, equipment, and other property brought upon the premises of the hotel and shall indemnify and hold harmless FRA and Norfolk Waterside Mar-riott their officers, directors, partners, agents, members, and employees from any and all such losses, damages, and claims. In all cases, occupants wishing to insure their property must do so at their own expense. It is especially recommended that all occupants have representatives in attendance at all timeswhen the exhibits are open and especially when exhibits are being set up or dismantled, to protect against loss.

10. Rules.FRA reserves the right to make changes to these rules. Any matters not specifically covered herein are subject to decision by FRA. FRA reserves the right to make such changes, amendments, and additions to these rules as considered advisable forthe proper conduct of the exhibit, with the provision the exhibitors will be advised of any such changes.

11. Rights of Termination.This agreement is subject to termination for cause, upon written notice, without liability to the terminating party due to acts of God, war, govern-ment regulation, terrorism, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or any other emergency beyond the party’s con-trol making it illegal or impossible to provide the facilities or to hold the meeting. The phrase “without liability” wherever used in this agreement shall be deemed to include a refund by the FRA of all deposits and repayment made within thirty (30) days of the notice of termination.
