Pascual Toso set out towards Mendoza, Argentina from his home town, Canale D’Alba, in Piedmont, Italy, in the mid-1880s. He could not have imagined then that he would become the founder of a winery, which is today one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina. Since the winery was founded in 1890, Bodegas y Viñedos Pascual Toso has become one of the most exciting and promising Argentine wineries and remains faithful to its principles: tradition, authenticity and innovation. In 2001, the Bodega hired renowned winemaking consultant Paul Hobbs for a new high quality wine project working closely with chief winemaker Felipe Stahlschmidt.
Pascual Toso have been awarded the IWSC Argentina Winery of the Year 2016.

AUSTRALIA BEYOND THE RIVER / STONEY VALE
Hailing from South Eastern Australia, Stoney Vale is the block out the back of a vineyard where a creek used to flow. The ‘old timers’ reckon that some of the best grapes come from here as the vines have to struggle just a little bit more. It’s also where the vineyard workers take their breaks under the shade of a tall gum tree and in the heat of the day there is not much movement except the odd lizard scuttling across the rocks. We call this wine Stoney Vale in recognition of this special place – in the sun drenched land we love!

AUSTRALIA LIMESTONE COAST WINES
When it comes to grapes; geography, geology and climate are crucial to producing the quality and complexity needed for outstanding wines. The alluvial soil of the Limestone Coast sits atop 26-million-year-old limestone caverns providing excellent drainage. This ancient geological formation delivers an abundance of the purest quality water which brings life and sustenance to this remote and bountiful region.
Limestone Coast Wines source grapes from the six flagship regions of the Limestone Coast. From the cool climate emerging regions of Mount Gambier, producing restraint and elegance, to the maritime air of Robe and Mount Benson whose fruit bursts from the glass. The contrast continues in the classic region of Padthaway, the dense, Terra Rossa soil of the Coonawarra, where richness reigns, and the sun baked flavours of Wrattonbully, with its bold intense flavours. The Hidden Sea combines these unique combinations of elements producing distinctive contemporary wines which exceed expectations on quality.

Frankland River is one of the coldest and most isolated wine producing regions in Australia and as such, vintage takes place later than in other Australian producing regions, with grapes harvested as late as May. Many factors combine to differentiate Frankland River from other producing regions of Australia, including ancient, low fertile soils which make vines work harder, increasing quality rather than quantity and extremely cool ripening periods allowing grapes to ripen more slowly, delivering natural acidity and stronger varietal characters.

In 1554, whilst struggling to remain heir to the Spanish throne, Philip II of Spain married Queen Mary I of England. In order to give him equal rank with the Queen, he was renamed Tierra del Rey, ‘King of Chile’ by his father and thus became Chile’s only King.
The Central Valley is set in between the majestic Andes Mountains and the mighty Pacific Ocean, making it an ideal location for growing grapes. The mountains protect the wine region by creating dry, hot climatic conditions and the cold ocean breezes keep the vines cool. This combination produces full flavoured wines whilst maintaining that all important acidity essential to make perfectly-balanced wines.

CHILE VINA VENTISQUERO
Vina Ventisquero began making wine in 2000. Today, the winery is led by a young, creative team of entrepreneurs who guide us to a single purpose: creating distinctive, high quality wines. They look for innovative ways to communicate with their target audience and to market our products around the world. Under the guidance of head winemaker Felipe Tosso, the winery was built in the Coastal Maipo Valley, where grapes for their first wines were produced. Three years later, they ventured into the Casablanca Valley and the prestigious Apalta Valley, the source today for Vina Ventisquero’s premium wines.

The company’s founder, Thomas Barton, left his native Ireland at the beginning of the 18th century and emigrated to Bordeaux when he was just 30 years old.
As a true adventurer, he founded his wine-shipping company in 1725. Very quickly, his efforts brought an unbelievable level of prosperity and by 1747, Thomas Barton was considered Bordeaux’s number one shipper and his loyal clients nicknamed him “French Tom”.
He was the first shipper to have his own wine estates. In 1802 Hugh Barton, his grandson and successor, teamed up with Daniel Guestier, a French trader, to create Barton & Guestier which is today the oldest wine merchant established in Bordeaux.

Vines belonging to Alliance Loire’s co-operative in Touraine, Les Vignerons de Coteaux de Romanais, stretch on both sides of the Cher river. The Sauvignon Blanc produced in this appellation is famous for its elegance and aromatic complexity. Opposite Touraine to the North of the Loire River lies Alliance Loire’s Cave de Vouvray who are masters in the art of making several types of fine wine from the Chenin Blanc variety. We’ve chosen Demi-sec Vouvray as a balanced alternative to the many dry wines the Loire has to offer.
This sparkling wine is made using the traditional method where secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle (as in the Champagne region) and it is aged carefully in famous tufa chalk cellars carved into the rock to enhance both its freshness and finesse. The grapes for our "De Chanceny" cuvée come from selected clay-limestone, tufa chalk, and shale terroirs to the south of the Saumur area.

The Quiot family, winemakers since 1748, are the unique owners of the plot “”les Combes d’Arnevels”” located in the north-west of the appellation. The plots are located on stony terraces, very well exposed to Mistral Wind, which improves the sanitary quality of the grape. The vines are surrounded by several dozen hectares of woods offering an exceptional micro-climate. The soil, which is made up of chalky white rocks gives the wine its individual character. Sunlight is very important and the grapes reach very nice degrees of maturation.

The name Coudoulières comes from the Provençal word meaning beach of river stones, the place where ancient rivers left behind beautiful polished stones.
Sablet village itself is situated on the northern fringes of the Gigondas area so the terroir has similar limestone content in the soil alongside clay.
This soil mixed with these river stones constitutes an outstanding terroir for Grenache and Syrah vines that produce a rich, generous, characterful wine.

Produced by Cantine Minini, the Terre Avare range hails from Puglia in southern Italy. Puglia is a region in Southern Italy bordering the Adriatic Sea in the east, the Ionian Sea to the southeast, and the Strait of Òtranto and Gulf of Taranto in the south. Its southernmost portion, known as Salento peninsula, forms a “stiletto” on the “boot” of Italy. This sunny, dry region typically produces fruit-forward, ripe red wines which are considered some of the best value in Italy.

ITALY BORGO MOLINO
The Italians enjoy Prosecco as a wine for every occasion and it has benefitted from a surge in popularity over the past few years in this country. However, we still see it more as a celebratory fizz and there is good reason to pop the cork! It seems to have struck the right balance – giving a sense of festivity at an affordable price. It also offers an alternative for those looking for a change to the biscuity, yeasty Champagne style. ITALY SENSI
Tuscany’s climate is generally Mediterranean, with the further eastern regions having continental influences from the Apennine mountain range. Italy has a turbulent geological history with a mix of many soil types, including albarese (sandstone) and galestro (chalky-marl). Even within relatively short distances in a particular vineyard the soil types can alter enormously, and good vineyard management is particularly important for consistent wines to be produced. Chianti lies towards the heart of this region and remains central to Tuscan viniculture.
Sensi Campoluce Chianti DOCG – OrganicTuscanyTasting note: Ruby red in colour, with pleasant fruity aromas, Campoluce has a good structure and a velvety texture with a good balance.

MOLDOVAMoldova, perhaps still somewhat surprising to hear, is the 12th largest wine producing country in the world (covering 112,000Ha).
The country, shaped like a bunch of grapes, lies between Romania and the
Ukraine in South East Europe.
It has a long heritage of wine production and it has even been said that the Black Sea basin is
where the vine originated some 7,000 years ago.
In the last 10 years massive investment has poured into the wine industry which has vastly improved wine-making facilities.
This has allowed Moldova to further understand and to now compete on a global stage. Internationally recognised varietals such as Pinot Grigio are in high demand due to their excellent value and quality.

NEW ZEALAND MARLBOROUGH
New Zealand is renowned for its fresh, intense and vibrant wines. The cool temperatures allow flavours to develop whilst retaining a fresh and well-balanced acidity. Marlborough represents around 77% of the total vineyard area for the country.
Marlborough is located on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island. The strong contrast between hot sunny days in summer, average around 24ºC, and cool nights help vintners extend the ripening period of their vines like nowhere else, resulting in unique expressions of their grapes.

NEW ZEALAND OMAKA SPRINGS / MARISCO
Omaka Springs Estate vineyards consist of 178 acres that lie across the Omaka Valley in the heart of Marlborough’s world-famous wine growing area. The first vines were planted in 1989 and further developed when Omaka Springs Estates was established in 1992 by Geoff and Robina Jensen.
Marisco Vineyards was developed by Brent Marris exclusively for the on-trade. A household name for winemaking in New Zealand, Brent Marris, Marlborough born and raised, spent years as a youngster exploring the landscape of his home region. He put that exploration to good use when, in 2003, he started his search for a vineyard property. The site he chose was 268ha of vineyards on the banks of the Waihopai River, on the southern side of the Wairau Valley. From here, Brent started Marisco Vineyards, the foundation of this range.

characteristics are produced, something that is only possible due to the diversity of land forms and microclimates concentrated in small areas

The region’s proximity to the capital has led to

Experts believe that Lisboa is one of the regions of greatest interest for the future.

Cape winegrowing areas, situated in the narrow viticultural zone of the

Diamond Bay is sourced from Lutzville. Lutzville Vineyards is situated over 300 kms north of Cape Town, and most of their vineyards are situated only 10 kms from the Atlantic Ocean, so the region benefits from warm, sunshine days, and a cooling sea breeze in the evenings. The winery was founded in 1963, and has 70 member farms that supply their grapes to the winery. To the south-west, the region stretches all the way down to the coastal winegrowing districts of Durbanville and Philadelphia, while to the north-west it borders the Swartland wine district.

Dudley’s Stone reminisces about the 1869 discovery, when the first large diamond, the ‘Star of South Africa’ was found in the country. On hearing of the stone, the Earl of Dudley purchased it, had it mounted on a head ornament with 95 smaller diamonds and gave it to the countess of Dudley – it was hence known as the ‘Dudley Diamond’.

The DO of Campo de Borja is located to the south of the River Ebro where the Bodegas Aragonesas winery is located. Its vineyards are in the foothills of the Iberian Mountains, in the northern part of the province of Zaragoza. This area, which shares the Ebro River with neighbouring Navarra and Rioja, is perfect for growing vines – both for the quality of the soil and its climate. Until recently, it was considered to be “on the wrong side of the tracks” but its fruit-filled wines from rugged vineyards are now increasingly sought after.
