Communicating with parents is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about
activities, events and things that really matter is something we care about.
From April 5th we will be using ParentMail, a service used by over 6,000 schools, nurseries and children’s clubs to
communicate to parents. ParentMail will be beneficial to you because you can:
● Use a free mobile app on Android and iOS to pick up school messages instantly. ● Pay for school trips/items in just a few taps. ● Complete forms, give consent/permissions and give feedback on surveys. ● Keep on top of school meetings and events. ● Book parents’ evening appointments. ● And much, much more!
Registering with ParentMail is very easy! On Friday 5th April you will be sent either an email and/or text message from
ParentMail, when you receive this please just follow the instructions in the message. If you do not receive this
message, please contact the School Office on our return to school after the Easter holidays.
Please be assured that ParentMail is registered with the Information Commissioner and guarantees that all information
you provide will be kept private and will not be passed on to any other organisation.
Once registered, if you have an Android or Apple smartphone, we highly recommend you download the ParentMail App
for the best user experience. To do this, simply search for “ParentMail” in your App store.
If you need any additional information or assistance, please visit the help site:
https://www.parentmail.co.uk/help/parenthelp/ or if you have not received any contact from ParentMail within 7 days of

Sign Up to Sports Clubs Details
Winton are pleased to offer a range of after School Sports Clubs that will be run by both staff and professional
coaches. To make sure your child can attend the club(s) of their choice and to avoid disappointment please go to
school interviews and select the club(s) and sign up. All of the Sports clubs are capped at thirty children so please
make sure you sign up early to gain a space for your child. If the club is a paid option, there will be a note that states
‘fees apply’ on school interviews. These clubs are coordinated by professional coaches who are qualified to the
minimum standards and have their DBS and full insurance. Each of the paid clubs’ options are capped at no more
than £3 per week for any of the sessions advertised. I am sure you will agree this is extremely good value for
professional coaching. If your child has signed-up to a club where fees apply you will need to make sure you bring
payment to the coach of that club each week or if specified as a lump sum as a block booking on the first session.
Please note that the school office will not be able to receive any payments for these clubs on behalf of the
professional coaches.
Please note: We encourage all children to have studded boots for football clubs, especially when the weather turns.
For football club it is essential that children all have shin pads. If children want to try and achieve selection for a
school sports team, Mr Millar and Mr Burt highly recommend children attend those clubs.

From how to hold a racket, to developing a rally, your kid will learn all the essentials that are key to building
confidence and a foundation in tennis. Age-specific activities and specially trained coaches give you the reassurance
that your kid is receiving the best possible start in tennis - as well as having lots of fun and staying active in a safe,
relaxed environment. Tennis is a great way for children to learn new skills, and we encourage home practice with
mum, dad, brothers and sisters so the whole family can be involved. Plus, tennis is a great sport to help your child
learn valuable life skills, like respect, team work, fair play and concentration. Most importantly, they’ll be having fun
and making new friends - and who knows, it may even be the start of a life-long love for tennis!
