“We would like to respectfully acknowledge the Bundjalung people who are the Traditional Custodians and First Peoples of the Land on which our school stands.”

Albert Park’s Book Fair Celebration Day will be held next Friday, 18 September. Book Fair

usually takes place in August but this year, due to COVID 19, we are doing it all a bit

differently. The scholastic theme is “Arctic Adventure” Children will participate in a variety of

activities and we will be having a Mufti Day where students can come dressed in blue and

white instead of a book related costume. Teachers have prepared a fun afternoon of activities

in place of our usual book parade and students will be participating in a range of competitions

leading up to the event. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 restrictions for schools, parents,

friends and carers will not be able to come to the Book Fair or activities. However students

will be able to preview the books this week and take home their wish list for possible

purchases for the following Friday.

BE SAFE.

School lunches

School lunches are part of ensuring students have enough energy to do their

learning work at school. Parents are required to send a healthy lunch to school with their children each day.

Students are also required to bring a drink bottle to school for refilling, especially as the weather is warming up. The school can help with lunch in an

emergency but lunch is the responsibility of the parents/carers.

This Friday we farewell Mrs Sandy Reeve, class teacher of 1-2 Blue, as she commences her Maternity Leave. We wish both her and her husband Max best wishes as they await the birth of their baby and look forward to the new addition to their family. Mr Crane will be teaching 1-2 Blue for the last two weeks of the term and then Mr Mack will return for Term 4.

Different Teacher – Same Respect This week and next week we have a number of

teachers attending professional learning around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.) I have been reminding the children of

our “Different Teacher – Same Respect” expectation and I must say that when we had 3 casual teachers on class yesterday, the children

were wonderful. Please help us by reminding your child of this expectation regularly.

Families are reminded that school supervision does not begin until 8:45am.

Students who are dropped off, ride or walk to school are not to arrive before this time.

Thank you for your support.
