How to find out the number of actions registered in your territory

(total, per category, per theme, etc.)

Go to database: click on number of actions

Total number of actions

In the database, you have several search options:

- By country/region

- By theme (3Rs and clean-up)

- By type of Action Developer

- If it is related to the Prevention Thematic Days 2014, “Stop Food Waste”

- By keywords

• In order to search for the total number of actions implemented in your territory, you just have to conduct a database search for your territory.

• Example: Germany– Select Germany from the list of countries– Click submit

The next view will list all validated actions for Germany

• Count the actions!

(Manually or by copying them in excel and taking the number of rows from there.)

Example:

Result a) = (8-1)*100 = 700

Result = result a) + result b) = 700 + 27 = 727

Note: If there are too many actions to count them manually, there is an easy way of counting the action

1. Each page shows a maximum of 100 actions

2. Count the number of pages, subtract 1 and multiply with 100 = results a)

3. Take the last page, copy all actions into excel, see for the number of rows = result b)

4. Add together results a) and b)

Too many actions to count manually?

(take results from last page and copy into excel: delete first row (titles) & take

number from last row result b) = 27

For regional Coordinators:• Select your country• Select your region/area (see

example for Portugal on the right)• Click submit• The next view will list all validated

actions for that specific area in your country

• Count the number of actions manually or by copying them into excel

Please note:

If you cover several regions in your country you will have to conduct the search for each area extra

Regional Coordinators

• In order to search for the total number of actions implemented in your territory by a certain type of Action Developer:

– select your territory – AND choose the type of Action Developer

• Click submit

• The next view will list all validated actions for Germany for that category of Action Developer

• Search for the total number of actions implemented in your territory per action theme

• Action themes:– Reduce: Strict avoidance and reduction at source– Reuse: Reuse and preparing for reuse– Recycling: Waste sorting and recycling– European Clean-Up Day (clean-ups)

• To look up this number:– Select your territory – Choose the action theme– Click submit

• The next view will list all validated actions for Germany for that action theme

• To look up this number:– Select your territory – Tick the box “yes” under the title

“related to the theme of PTDs 2014: “Stop Food Waste”!

– Click submit

• The next view will list all validated actions for Germany that are related to the PTDs 2014
