When I was a little girl, my favorite “blankie” was my dad’s satin flight jacket. I would curl up in it and instantly feel happy. There was just something about the smoothness that felt so refreshing and cool against my face. That was the feeling we wanted to capture with Happy Blankies and why we chose soft, “minky” chenille to perfectly complement the silky, cool satin on the back.

In 2008, when David Holdridge was just seven years old, he had a really good idea.

He wanted to combine his little sister’s two favorite things, stuffed animals and blankies, to create something that would make

the world smile.

David’s idea inspired the whole family and soon Happy Blankie was born. The first creation was Giggle the Happy Pig, an adorable piggy-faced animal blanket

with a HUGE cheek-to-cheek smile.

David knew his idea was a great one because whenever anyone felt (or saw) a Happy Blankie they had a smile a mile wide. Then his mom, Emily, had a 2nd great idea - give a blankie away to a child in need for every blankie they sold

AND let kids choose where they wanted it to go. Thus, “one to love, one to give” became the core philosophy of Happy Blankie and now David and his family

and friends are making people happy two blankies at a time.

And that was the beginning of Everything Happy!

Giving Spotlight Uganda

There are over 1.7 million orphans in Uganda. Happy Blankie

has teamed up with Christian Life Ministries Orphanage in

Uganda, Africa. Christian Life Ministries is working towards the

goal of building 500 homes that accommodate 12 children per

home. Each child is given parental love, discipline, education

and health care. When construction is complete, the orphanage

will be home to over 6,000 children. Please join in our mission to

Nicole Frisbie – Founding Director Started Everything Happy Business - October 2011

Everything Happy was introduced to me in March of 2011. My son was one month old and just had his Christening when my Aunt and Grandmother sent us Chase the Happy Dog with his name embroidered on the ear. Being a nurse and knowing that these gifts went to some very special kids, I immediately fell in love with the company and its mission. I couldn’t imagine my own family going through what these children face and to know that there is someone out there with this small gesture of kindness means the world to these children. It truly brings a tear to my eyes thinking of these children’s faces when they receive their gifts! This is the exact reason I wanted to start selling Everything Happy’s merchandise. To explain the mission and how it was started is such a joy for me. Even if I don’t get an immediate sale out of it, I know that these people will someday remember Everything Happy and its mission. Everything Happy has brought such joy to my family. Being part of the consultant team is also such a great addition. Everyone is so supportive and is truly like an extended family. There are so many endless ideas and I am sure every one will be just as adorable as the next!

way to stay together, in proximity to their treatment hospitals,

and be comfortable and cared for during their stay. Families

are stronger when they are together, which helps in the healing

process. By staying at a Ronald McDonald House, parents also

can better communicate with their child’s medical team and keep

up with complicated treatment plans when needed.

have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and more than 900,00

children have experienced deployment. Currently, approximately

220,000 military children have at least one parent deployed.

Celebrate the Military Child is a program of the SFC Jared C. Monti

Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

that exists to bring parties to children of service members in every

branch of the United States Military and Reserves to

honor the sacrifice that they make.

I stumbled upon Happy Blankie/Everything Happy while I searched a baby site for their next deal. I noticed that everyone was raving about the blankies and how great they were. So I started to do my own research and that is when I fell in love with the company. I purchased my first happy blankie in July 2011 and had to wait 2 months to give it to my daughter for her 1st birthday. That was complete torture, yet, I will admit I did go and sneak a feel or two prior to wrapping it. I gave several for gifts and they have been so well received. However, the mission behind the product is the true star. As a child that was extremely ill growing up, I understand what it is like to be in the hospital and need that special “item” to make you feel secure. I still have the stuffed animals that got me through the tough times and they will always be special. Love one, Give one is why I wanted to be apart of this company . I knew that being a consultant was a great opportunity. To share love with those who truly need it during difficult, unclear times, is the best gift one can give. Hello, our names are Tiffany Lang and Ellie Miller. We are sisters who stumbled upon Everything Happy at an event sponsoring Shriners Hospital of Cincinnati Ohio. We fell in love with the blankets and after spending several hours talking with another consultant Kim Knost and seeing others reactions to the blankets we knew we wanted to be consultants. We both work at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and knew we wanted the hospital added as a giving destination. We were excited to have them involved and have many sick children receive such a loving gift. We are familiar with the need to have something to love and give the feeling of security. Our own brother still at 28 years old talks about his “Raggedy Ann and Andy” blanket that our mom tossed out and he still misses it. Giving SpotlightCornerstone Chapel, Hadyai, Thailand

Children living in the southern border providences of Thailand

fear the threat of daily violence. With peace and love, the lives of

these children will change and confidence and joy will be restored

in their lives. Happy Blankie is working with a Church that

impacts the lives of these children. This ministry provides love,

food, emotional and spiritual support to these families. Please join

November 2011

I found Happy Blankies at a baby boutique. The blankies were so adorable and ridiculously soft I knew right away that I wanted one for the baby girl I was expecting. I decided on Giggle the Happy Pig, and my son would give it to his new sister at the hospital to “break the ice.” Until my daughter was born, I kept the blankie in the crib, and it brightened me up every time I looked at it. The blankie was a big hit, and I would tell any admirers about “one to love, one to give.” Six months later I wanted to buy a Tumble Bear for my sister-in-law’s baby shower, but the baby boutique no longer carried the blankies. The shower was only days away, so I called the company to see if I could pick something up directly. During that phone conversation, I found out about the Everything Happy Consultant Program. I was impressed by how at its core Everything Happy is dedicated to a ministry of giving. I immediately identified with their mission and felt called to team up with this amazing company and the people behind it. I am a stay-at-home mom and taking care of my family is my top priority. Everything Happy gives me the unique opportunity to develop a business and allows me to be a part of something bigger than myself to spread happiness to those who need it. The positive response people have had to the blankies and the mission has been very encouraging. I love how Happy Blankie brings out the giver in us all!
