Everett Community College graduates work across the United States and the world in many areas of aviation, including helicopter repair, avionics inspection, and small aircraft restoration and as airframe and powerplant mechanics. Everett Community College Aviation Maintenance Technology In the eight-quarter, 2,040-hour program, you’ll learn about 45 subjects and work hands-on with a variety of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, including multiple turbine engines and the latest composite materials. You’ll learn to maintain and repair various turbine and reciprocating powerplant systems, including electrical, fuel, ignition and other systems vital to the safe operation of today’s airline industry. At EvCC, you can prep for your FAA Airframe and Powerplant license, get a Certificate in Aviation Technology, or earn an Associate in Technical Arts (ATA) degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. You can also earn an Associate in Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree and complete a bachelor’s degree in Everett through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or Central Washington University. Everett Community College’s Aviation Maintenance Technician School is one of about 150 schools nationwide that train airframe and powerplant mechanics. Located at Paine Field in Everett, Washington, the school has prepared students to take the FAA exams for powerplant and airframe licenses for more than 40 years. Get Started Today!

To be admitted to the Aviation Maintenance Technology program, students must be age 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. They must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation 65:71. Mechanical and manual dexterity are desired.

New students are required to attend an information session, held the second Thursday of each month except September at 2:30 p.m. Call 425-388-9533 for more information.

In addition to Aviation Maintenance Technology, Everett Community College offers many other training options for careers in aerospace, manufacturing and engineering.
