The Plan for This Semester
Pilot / trial semester at Hope High School
Meet every Tuesday
Curriculum centered on community action
Skills would be learned as necessary
Thinking systemically about local and extra-local issues
Having students lead the meetings as much aspossible, including helping to create themeeting agendas

What Actually Happened
Much more a trial run than a pilot
Meetings twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays
Curriculum did not have a center, goals were not
clearly established at the outset Community action goals not motivating enough;
reactive
Few skill-building activities
Much more us revealing systems than studentsdiscovering them
Students clearly felt we led the meetings, andrarely contributed to meeting agendas
