Responsibility in filming process…….

• My roles included being an actress- playing the part of the ‘new geek’ and helping to come up with the overall plan to meet our brief: ‘the meeting’. I also helped to co-direct during the filming stage.

What decisions did you have to make in this role ? ……

• In my roles of actress, scriptwriter and co-director I contributed ideas and made decisions about what our overall storyline was going to be about. As an actress I helped to make the role of the geek come alive and as a co-director I helped to make sure everyone was confident with their roles, I also helped to get props.

How effectively did you carry out responsibilities ?..........

• I believe that I carried out my responsibilities quite well as I did what I was supposed to. I think I managed to carry out all of my three roles successfully.

How effectively did the team work cohesively ? …….

• As a team I think that we worked really well together and helped each other with our particular roles and responsibilities. We managed to combine our skills and strengths together and in addition we were able to write, film and edit a short film.

What areas would you like to develop ?......

• I would like to develop my acting skills in order to make future short films we make more realistic and entertaining. I would also like to improve my editing skills due to the fact that I don’t have a lot of knowledge about iMovie and what it does. However I think that my script writing skills were quite good.

Feedback ! …….

• Other people in our class watched our short film once it had been edited and came up with these comments for improvement …

• Quicken the pace• Hide the filming processes• Use more editing techniques e.g. establishing shots to make it

flow more seamlessly • More scripted dialogue• Use a tripod to make it less shaky

Positive comments we were given were: ….. . Non diegetic sound added tension . Well planned- idea well realised . Good use of props
