The purpose of the evaluation activities based on the topics you studied in

units (3) and (4) correspond to the organization of a Healthy Living Festival.

Follow the orientations to construct your Healthy Living Festival:

Writing Skills Evaluation

(1) Writing about a Healthy Living Festival and (2) Writing an invitation

1. Revise the vocabulary on (p.23) and the relaxation techniques presented

on (p.28)-Unit 3.

2. Study in detail the sentences presented on (p.37) and the conversation

strategies on (p.39).

3. To describe the Healthy Living Festival each student is going to design a

power-point presentation.

Evaluation Activities 4. Answer the questions below to write Healthy Living Festival:

• When is the festival going to be?

• How are you going to celebrate the Healthy Living Festival?

• Are you going to eat any special foods?

• Are you going to wear costumes or put up decorations?

• In the second part, each student should write an invitation to participate

in the Healthy Living Festival. You can invite a friend or a family member.

• Write (150-170 words for describing the Healthy Living Festival.

• Use vocabulary studied in Units (3) and (4), minimum 6 new words.

• Follow the examples provided on (p.41) for writing the invitation.

Speaking Skills Evaluation: Follow the requirements to submit the speaking

exercise.

Healthy Living Festival. 2. Speak for about two minutes. Use sentences using “going to,” vocabulary

5. Use conversation strategies on (p.27) and (p.39).

6. Do NOT read the information you are going to present. Remember that

your spontaneity and natural use of the foreign language make part of the

evaluation criteria.

7. It is mandatory to submit a video about a Healthy Living Festival and an

invitation to participate in your festival. Do not change the information

required.

8. The deadline to submit this evaluation is on April 12th.
