Concise Learner’s Guide

1. Introduction

"EuroTraining" is the "Global Training" learning platform. The "EuroTraining" user interface is used: . For displaying information on training programmes matching a learner’s job profile . For directly calling up and working on e-Training content.

i Only users who have been registered in “EuroTraining” can be booked in for a training programme. Bookings can be made only by a currently logged-on user (country administrator) with special rights in “EuroTraining”.

2. Basic instructions for use

2.1. Basic navigation in "EuroTraining" "EuroTraining" is a browser-based application. Navigation is carried out by clicking on the various elements with the mouse.

i In most cases, the mouse pointer then turns into a hand . The navigation elements in "EuroTraining" are as follows: . Action key

The function of each action key is described on the key itself (in this case, “Login”).

Further information may be provided with a tooltip. . Icon

Further information may be provided with a tooltip (in this case, reading “Pick Location”). . Link

A link is a clickable section of text.

In "EuroTraining", link texts appear in blue.

i The words within the link are marked when the mouse pointer is placed over the link. Note that several links with different functions may appear in the table cells.

. Navigation area

A navigation area allows you to select a function within a tab.

Further information may be provided with a tooltip.

2.2. Using the date selector to complete date fields Wherever “EuroTraining” allows or requires the entry of date information, the

icon is displayed. The purpose of the date selector is to ensure that all dates will be entered in the correct format. 1. Click on the

icon. A new window is now displayed.

2. Use the pull-down menus to select the month and year (a).

3. Then click on the required day (b).

The window is now closed, the date is placed in the entry field.

Or Click on the (c) link.

This closes the window without placing any date in the entry field.

2.3. Data input from selection lists

Wherever “EuroTraining” allows the use of information from selection lists, the icon is displayed. 1. Click on the

icon. A search help window for selection of the required information is opened.

2. Enter the known details in the input fields.

3. Click on the

action key.

The search results are displayed in the form of a table.

2.4. Configuring your settings In the function bar, click on the

link. The “Preferences” window is now displayed.

2.4.1 Configuration entries The “Configuration” tab can be used to enter configuration settings for language version and table format. 1.

Enter the required settings.

2. Then click on one of the action keys:

- this saves your changes and leaves the window open.

- this saves your changes and closes the window.

- this rejects your changes and closes the window.

The welcome page is then displayed according to your selected settings.

2.4.2 Password The “Password” tab can be used to change your password and enter a secret question and answer.

i The secret question and answer enables you to reset the password.

2.5. Help and support 1. In the function bar, click on the

link. The "SUPPORT" window is now displayed.

2. Click on the required function.

2.5.1 Support request

To send a support request to your country administrator, click on the link.

A window for your support request will appear.

To forward the full support request directly to the country administrator, click on the action key.

The window is now closed.

2.5.2 FAQ

To look up FAQs on problems with the system, click on the link.

The window containing the FAQ table is now displayed.

2.5.3 Online help

For online help, click on the link.

The online help window is now displayed.

2.5.4 System check

To run a system check, click on the action key.

The system check window is now displayed.

2.6. Logging off In the function bar, click on the

link. You will now be logged off.

3. Upcoming/completed training programmes

3.1 Learning Page

The training programmes provided for the learner are listed under the "Learning Page" tab heading.

1. Open the required training programme by clicking on the link.

The overview page is now displayed.

The training programme is started in a separate window.

i On achievement of the required result, the training programme is listed as “Successfull” completed.

3.2 Learning History

The training programmes carried out by the user are listed under the "Learning History" tab heading.
