COM inspections are set

to monitor the implementation of relevant EU legislation

to verify the effectiveness of:- national maritime security quality control systems- maritime security measures- procedures and structures

to look at a suitable sample of authorities, RSOs, port facilities, ships and associated companies

The goal is to improve maritime security in Member States
