    1. Robo-AcademyRobo academy is the half of the legend which is called

CORD, it started in 2008, 2nd year of launching CORD. Itconsisted of 2 workshops, both workshops had the same coreGeneral Robotics Considerations .

In the next year, 2009, Robo-Academy grew more andenlarged the number of workshops to 4; In each one a specific

knowledge in robotic science is given.

Let the games begin is Robo-Academy slogan whichshows that one can enjoy learning and implementing theknowledge given in Robo-Academy workshops as if he\she issimply playing Games .

From this point, the second phase of Robo-Academy comesout The competition. We named the competition Operation:E.S.C.A.P.E. as if the participant is asked to complete a missioninside a certain game.

ii. Field: Structure and specificationsThe field consists of Maze Area ends with Hill

    Area.

The Maze is a horizontal flat area surrounded bywalls of 40 cm height, and divided into 3checkpoints; each checkpoint starts right after adead end in the maze.

The Hill is located after the end of the maze andit is a slope that climbs across a horizontaldistance of 1 m and inclines by 15 degrees on the

horizontal plain. This slope is surrounded bywalls of 40 cm height. The entrance of the Hill isthe 4th checkpoint.

There are two slots before the end of the hill thatmay help you fixing your robot before you hit thedrum (Optional). The slot dimensions are 8mm

13.5 cm and it is 5 cm away from the white line. The depth of the slot is 10 cm. The two slots aresymmetric around the line and perpendicular toit.

The drum is elevated from the top of the slope by25 cm perpendicular to it. And located inside the

    wall facing the slope entrance.

iii. Game procedureThe Robot begins to move automatically from the

start point to end point of the maze by only onemethod of the following two methods.

Obstacle Avoiding:oThe robot should be able to go to the

end of the maze by sensing the walls ofthe maze and keeping away from it

    heading towards the end.

oWhile climbing up the slope, a teammember should control the robotremotely by a remote control to stop its

motors at a suitable position, and thenstart controlling its arm ( by the remotecontrol ) in order to hit the drum once.

Line Tracking:oThe robot should be able to go to the

end of the maze by following the blackpath drawn on the floor which guides itto the shortest way to the end, and thenthe path directs it to be exactly underthe drum after climbing up themountain.

oThe path consists of straight linesperpendicular to each other and thereare no curved lines in the path.

oThe robot should stop automaticallywhen it reaches the wall exactly underthe drum directed by the path, then hit

the drum once without any help fromany team member (completelyautomatic).

iv. Competition tasksEvery team will choose whether it will use Line

    tracking, or Obstacle avoiding method.

1st task is to get out of the Maze Area.2nd task is to climb up the Hill Slope.3rd task is to stop on the sloped area.4th task is to hit the drum one hit.

    v. DisqualificationsA team shall be disqualified if it commits any of

    the following before/during the match:

Robot dimensions exceeds25cm X 25 cm X 25 cm (Not including its arm).

    Robot weight exceeds 4 Kg.

    Supply voltage exceeds 12 Volts.

The team performs any act that is not in thespirit of fair play.
