Q1. ERP Projects are expensive and risky. Why did Keda decide to implementation ERP Project?

ANS) Information flow between the departments was completely not working. There was also

issue of managing inventory inside the organization material management was not done

accurately so that no proper cost was find or was allocated that which of the part contributes to

how much cost and from this he was unable to calculate the profits also. What kind of raw

material should be wasted and what parts could be reusable.

Q3. What are the major processes of implementing a standardized ERP system?

Q4.Leadership plays an important role in the success of ERP project. Which “leadership best practices” did the Keda managers engage in?

ANS) If any of the employees not focuses on the project then he will be punished that of a week

serving at the canteen during lunch hours for a week for any employee who do not focuses on

SAP project work. Presence and participation of all of the employees to work with the

department managers in the same office just for the sake of promoting and implementing the

SAP project. IT department employees were also made to work there with the team so that

coaching could be provided as there were good relations between kedas and top management he

told the management of the project being done and its importance too.

Q5. What are the main challenges faced by Keda in each stage of its ERP project? What factors contributed to the project’s success in the face of these challenges?

ANS) Priority was given to ERP global functions. There was also difficulty of managing the data

as by replacing the managers and employees management also interfered in kedas way to

implement in such a way that each department manager will manage and see the business

process and system design and other aspects too related to the particular department. Each ERP

system module was assigned an owner fully responsible for workflow and operational details.

Managers can work on their departmental task after the office time.

Q6. Are the particular strategies adopted by Keda in its ERP project generally applicable to all ERP implementations?

ANS) Yes the strategies adopted by Keda in implementing the ERP project is generally

applicable to all ERP implementation

Q8. What are the benefits Keda will get after the implementation of ERP Project?

ANS) Without ERP Keda was unable to calculate exact profit now when ERP has been fully

implemented it was easy for him to calculate exact profit and which type of material part is

contributing how much in the profits. Productivity could be increased so that it can meet the

demands and also but not the least that it could save the time also.
